"A friend and I wanted to have lunch at this newly opened pub/restaurant. Situated right next to Uster Bahnhof, the Porter House replaced the Red Ochre Grill which was a staple in town for quite some years. As we entered and asked if we could eat, there was only a ghoulish bartender roughly telling us; "Restaurant, left side!" Ok... So we went to their "terrace" overlooking Uster Bahnhof, had a seat and even though it's a non smoking section, immediately noticed (i.e. smelled) someone behind us smoking cigars. Ok...well I was then told that unfortunately it was already 2pm so the kitchen was closed and we could only pick from the snack menu. Understandable, we were quite late for lunch. The snack selection doesnt look bad but there was not really anything we really wanted as we felt like eating a Burger and (we guessed) they would have it on the lunch menu, but oh well, we were late. So we first ordered some drinks, a tonic water and a small coke. Tonic water arrived immediately, but the Coke took about 10mins to pour. In the meantime we decided to just have an appetizer and ordered some Bruschetta to share, which the staff didnt seem to be too enthusiastic about (What? Theyre sharing a plate for one?) So then the Coke arrived as well but they brought a large (more expensive, and by that i mean ridiculously expensive) instead of the small one my friend ordered. Ok...well, she then tried to get the waitresses attention but to no avail. She was ignored. Bruschetta was good, but then again; making a Bruschetta is not exactly rocket science. Bruschetta finished, we just wanted to get out of there, funny atmosphere in that place. When we paid my friend told the waiter that shed ordered a small coke and not half a liter! All the waiter could muster was; "Oh? Ok..." No apology, no sorry we'll just charge you the one you ordered, just simply Oh? Ok... And this pretty much sums up the place. For a newly opened up restaurant/pub, the staff seems a tad bit un- or demotivated, unfriendly and just plain weird. Like they don't care. Don't think I'll step foot in there again. Oh, what's really notable about the Porter House is that in the restrooms, the ladys room is marked with a pair of well formed breasts molded in copper and the mens room with a nutbag. Very classy! Hey Porter, hey Porter!"
