"We visited The Harbour again for a meal yesterday and, as always, both my husband and myself enjoyed a delicious meal and lovely bottle of wine. We have been to this restaurant many times with family and friends and every one of them has been impressed with the food, service and ambience. Visiting The Harbour is a treat we look forward to every time we visit Millport."

Popped in for coffee after the dog had been to the beach. They welcome dogs and even let our dog have an ice cream!

Service are very good and the food are superb. Only few places to go in Millport for a meal and this one is well recommended.

Turned away on a wet evening due to the fact they had a party of 8 arriving then a party of 7 straight after. Still 2 tables of 4 sitting without reserved signs !!!

Three of us booked into the Harbour for dinner on Saturday. From the outside you’d expect to be entering a traditional pub but inside it’s modern but very pleasant. View menu

Fabulous restaurant with great choices of food and cocktails. Great service too and nothing was a problem at all even had a birthday banner on the table. Lots of gluten free options.

My wife I walked to Millport today hoping to have a nice meal here on the bank holiday. Be aware, the menu outside bears absolutely no relation to the photographs of lovely looking seafood above.

This place with the scaffold doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s truly a wonderful place with freshly prepared food to a very high standard of quality, the enchilada wouldn’t be out of place in a great Mexican restaurant, same with the pasta in a great Italian View menu

Looking for a place to eat on the Saturday night, the harbour was fully booked, food looked and smelled delicious, so we decided to have lunch there on the Sunday. The waitress was friendly and efficient but the food was mediocre to poor. Disappointing given what we had seen on people's plates the previous night.

I don’t know if I went here on wrong evening, but it was not a pleasant experience. The food was very good, but the service so poor I didn’t go there again. If you are placing your order and the waiter is already running away from your table it’s hard to feel welcome. And yes, I mean running, not walking in speedy pace.

"We were a party of 5, on a cold, very wet Saturday evening, coldest so far I would say! We drew up and saw a young family of 3 sitting with jackets on in the conservatory area, we were a bit concerned! We took a...seat at the back of the conservatory which proved to be a big mistake! There was a terrible draught coming from behind me, I did mention it and was told it was 27c at the middle of the room, but not where we were sitting!! I mentioned it a few times and sat with my shawl scarf on throughout! I pulled down the window blinds hoping that would help, nope!! We ordered our food, I asked about a vegetarian option for my husband, our waitress did say he could a veggie option on the curry and the tempura or risotto, which was helpful! I had to ask what was the soup of the day and also the pate!! I did feel that maybe in this day and age there should have been a small dedicated vegetarian area on the menu, but that’s just my opinion! 3 of our party had starters which were great, Cullen skink, scallops and langoustine tempura, Main courses arrived, 3 fish and chips, one lemon soul and one veggie tempura, all were excellent except for the veggie tempura which was large shards of onion and carrot in an albeit lovely batter, but not all vegetarians like huge chunks of vegetables! 4 of our party had a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, which was plentiful! Overall we had a pleasant meal, little or no atmosphere though, one of the younger waitresses (white shirt, black skirt) was friendly and more talkative, the waitress (dressed all in black)who served us was, we all felt a little disinterested and lacked any empathy with the guests! We asked for our bill, the youngest waitress came with the card machine and felt how cold it was only then did she check the windows to find there was one opened, hence the draught, which spoiled our visit because we were felling it cold!! We paid the bill and left a tip on the plate, no one came to say thank you for you custom, or have a nice evening, nothing!! All in all it was pretty inhospitable! Value you for money, it was good for the standard of the food!"
