"Been to Snowdrop Inn many times. Today was awful. Food and waiter was fine. It was empty today, but the food was awfully slow coming out. I can understand it is New Year’s Eve and staff are on holiday. We ordered off the childrens menu for our 2 year old granddaughter. No apple juice and no tomato pasta. So we had no choice but to have the cheese pasta, which she did not like, know one’s fault. Out of a matter of principle I explained nicely that our grandddaughter did not have a drink or desert (watching the people dining near us wait for over 30 minutes for their desert, put us off ordering). We were informed the management said no discount on a £11 meal. Customer service is all important. As I say we have spent hundreds at this restaurant, and the service and food have been second to none. For the sake of a couple of pounds and poor management customer service. 2 stars. It is the principle, you should not pay for anything you have not received. Poor Management today."

Fantastic hidden gem of a gastropub with an average cost of £30–40 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks of 5.

Our favourite pub evs. Lovely atmosphere, cracking food, really pleasant and accomodating staff. And best beers in all of the east country. The snowdrop-looking dogs are beautiful as well. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We visited this restaurant at the end of 2023 and unfortunately, all members of our group got food poisoning. When we brought this issue to the attention of the management, they responded defensively and showed no remorse. The hygiene rating of the restaurant has recently been republished as 2 out of 5, which is not a coincidence. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs. In terms of ratings, the food and service were both rated 1 out of 5, while the atmosphere was rated 2 out of 5.

This was second visit to this place and what a contrast, Appalling is the only word to apply to this place. Got there on time and greeted by a sullen person who didn’t even speak to us then vanished, after 15 minutes went to find someone to take our order and it was not busy, ordered and 35 minutes later my wife meal turns up and something that neither of us had ordered. My beer battered fish and chips was obviously hidden in the ratatouille. Told them to forget it after they said they only had an expensive large piece, my wife’s corn on the cob still frozen in the middle, not even an offer of reduction on the bill, will never go back here again Dietary restrictions: gf is a good option

"I booked a table for 4 for Thurs 1pm lunch, (not expecting it was really necessary as most pubs are not overbooked on a weekday but wanted to make sure we got a table) Good job I did, as the place was virtually full and I saw a group of 4 who just popped in on the off chance politely turned away. Our group of 4 all went for the 3 course set menu at £21.50 and everyone was delighted with their starters, mains and desserts. Everything was really good. Our starters were 2 prawn cocktails a mushroom and feta something and a prosciutto dish. All were beautifully presented and generous portions. 100% polished off Mains were 2 cod in crumb with crushed potatoes and veg. A chicken curry with rice and poppadom and a beef stroganoff. Everyone agreed each dish was excellent. Really tasty and cooked perfectly. 4 clean plates again. For dessert we had 1 sticky toffee pudding with Ice cream, a creme bruele a chocolate brownie with ice cream and a panacotta. Again, all 4 dishes were perfect. We had a bottle of sauvignon blanc, some local ale and a cider. There was no drinks menu on the table so we ordered blindly and had no idea of the cost of our drinks but it was fine overall. The wine was perhaps a little pricey at £27 but that's really my only niggle as similar quality wine usually costs around £22 we have found. But equally, we DID have a LOVELY lunch, the place was full but we didn't wait overlong for anything, service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return and highly recommend. I'm not sure what happened to cause the negative reviews on here as we encountered non of the issues others complained about. Food was excellent, service was too. Look forward to returning soon."
