"I’ve read some reviews of barnham broom. I can’t believe anyone would give it a 5 star rating. Stayed there two nites with friends, We ate at the brasserie on the first day, three starters were sent back and because they were so bad(dried and rubbery) we ordered crab cakes instead, Two had pieces of shell to them. As of mains. Duck cooked ok but orange sauce brown tasteless sludge. Vegetables over cooked. Hashed potatoes square stodgy block. The main that was of reasonable taste was the canalone. Did’nt bother with pudding as you might of guessed. Wine overpriced(39.95 for an ordinary Prosecco). As for the sports bar. It was so bad I haven’t time to write everything. Service was terrible.orders wrong. Food out at different times.Worst was none tasted halfway decent. I found it difficult to give the place one star. I will go back to play golf as both courses good, especially the valley course but will eat and drink somewhere else.shame as setting and views lovely. ."

Terrible service and rude staff. Neither a proper golf club nor a respectable restaurant. Over priced on top of it all. Whilst surroundings may be pleasant, they shouldn't be charged for at the expense of service. A very poor experience. View menu

The food at this restaurant is delicious, albeit a bit pricey. However, the quality makes it worth it. The service is great, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The atmosphere is also very pleasant, earning a 4 out of 5 as well. Overall, a good spot for a nice dinner out, with prices averaging between £30-£40 per person.

Lovely place to meet friends. We watched a football game and had some food. Very spacious bar with gorgeous views, welcoming staff, good food and a large selection of drinks! I had the truffle burger it was amazing! Whilst my friends opted out for a steak and fish and chips! All the food was well presented and tasted great! Thank you, Leon for looking after us! We will be back! View menu

The restaurant at the hotel, The Brasserie, is overpriced and serves small portion sizes with mediocre quality. For example, the lamb dish in the evening only consists of one slice of lamb with more fat than meat, accompanied by a single piece of aubergine. Vegetables, such as chips, are an additional cost. The full English breakfast is also disappointing, with only one sausage, one mushroom, three pieces of sautéed potatoes, an overcooked fried egg, half of a tomato, and a cold coffee. Additionally, the mattress was worn out and the shower caused the bathroom floor to flood. Despite these drawbacks, the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Well what a find this place is! Having lived nearby for a couple of years now we somehow never visited this place before. The Sports Bar at Barnham Broom hotel is such a superb bar and we will now be regulars for sure! It is a spacious place with beautiful views over the golf courses, they show sport on TVs, have a pool table and the outside area is lovely too! We didn’t book a table and it seemed no issue at all. We were promptly seated by one of the friendly staff members. Their menu has a vast variety of dishes, they serve incredible cakes and scones and I saw a poster that they now do pizzas too! We can’t recommend it highly enough, and looking forward to coming back very soon!

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
