"We had previously past Fradley Junction on a boat but had no option to stop there last year. We thought we would drive the 30 odd miles just to visit in out of peak season. I will not waste your time on a long review so in summary. Bar Staff: Just one person on duty. Helpful. Pleasant. Polite. Could not fault him. Impressions: Lounge area; rather small, very stuffy and clearly an aged place. Little natural light. Facilities: Gents toilet 10/10. Ladies toilet is not so good. 7/10 Food: Oh my word!!! Of our two meals, one had to be sent back as inedible. Chunky chips appeared to have been reheated a few times.... at least once. They were just OK but certainly not fresh. Ham and egg was OK but could be better by using a better quality dry cured ham. The lasagne was truly awful and that is being kind. Reheated, dry, rubbery and tasteless. This ruined our visit. Disappointed indeed. Summary: On reflection this may be a nice place to sit out on a warm evening watching the boats go by. I would never recommend the food though. It was clearly produced quickly and in large volumes to cater for the hoards of visitors in Summer."

My second visit was much like my first. Decent beer, good food and wonderful staff. The car park is a bit tight, and the two rooms off the bar small. Plenty of room outside if the weather is good. View menu

Went especially for the pound of meat Steak Pie no longer on the menu I’m afraid. Instead there was a pale, stale, microwaved thing flopped on the plate. The first pint was equally stale despite costing close to £6 a pint and yet the second was lovely.

Had my daughter’s 13th birthday party in the cellar room. Absolutely great venue for the occasion. We were allowed to dress the room with banners and balloons etc. pub provided the food which was spot on for what the girls wanted, Thankyou to Harry the chef for putting on an amazing spread. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners catered for everything we needed even down to icecreams! Totally recommend The Swan for any special occasion. Thanks again for making Maisie’s first teenage birthday so special View menu

Hadn't eaten here for years but wanted somewhere picturesque to take our friend who is over from the US. We were welcomed by a roaring fire and a warm welcome from the manager. We all chose 2 courses for £18. Mushrooms, whitebait, and chicken wings. Generous portions and very tasty. For mains, we had roast beef, pork, and Southern fried chicken burger. The presentation of the roasts was amazing. There was a huge amount of meat, good choice of veg, roast potatoes perfect, and the most lovely Yorkshire pudding. I can honestly say it was the nicest roast I've had in ages. Will definitely be back! Thank you.

A great location but the food was mediocre at best, we ordered hunters chicken with chips salad and coleslaw. When the food arrived it looked unimpressive the chicken looked ok but when we tried it not so good, it was over cooked and very dry and tough. The chips were of the frozen variety and not very good. The so called salad was a miniscule serving accompanied by a small pot (just bigger than a thimble) of a red cabbage coleslaw. The drinks were ok, the service was reasonable. At a total cost of £35 for two below average pub meals, a pint of bitter and a rather small glass of blackcurrant cordial, left me feeling very disappointed. Will not be returning.
