"average eating, not very well presented my steak was just the steak and French pommes on plate, did not see very appetit. had to ask and pay for one of them who, when it came, was only a lot of salat red wobbles and tomaten. some homemade chips would be better than thin white pommes. choc fudge brownie was good and beginner ok. chicken fajitas good and beautiful homemade cakes. very quiet for a sat and that has not borrowed to a great atmosphere, although great if they want to chat. if she seems to go for the set menu as if a little less effort goes into the food. is rushed back as more beautiful places to eat in york. the service was ok."

Very angry, when I arrived they said they had not received my booking which was confirmed via the open table app. The restaurant was busy and no tables were free so we were told there is nothing they can do for us so we had to leave. View menu

I had booked through open table for a meal with friends for my wife's birthday. When we got there, despite booking for 7, they insisted I had booked for 6. Despite me having proof through Open table! They'd clearly missed out booking since they then tried to put us on a table only large enough for 6 people which was reserved under a different name! Only after our insistence did put an extra table in. By this point we'd had enough so finished our drinks and left.

If you go for the set menu seems like a little less effort goes into the food. Wont be rushing back as nicer places to eat in York. Service was OK.
