"I visited the farm shop today for a few items, it's a nice place stocked with all sorts of delicious produce and a proper butchers. Some things were a little expensive but you expect that from a farm shop. After shopping I really wanted a coffee and a quick bite to eat as it was approaching approaching the lady on reception she seemed to look me up and down and even though I could see lots of empty seating I was informed they where full. I think I was turned down because I had walking attire on and hadn't shaved....certainly that's what the look I was given felt like.I shan't go back to either the shop or restaurant and looking at the Incredibly high ratio of average, terrible and poor reviews they might not be there soon shockingly high. Seems management are not fit for task and have a very short sighted view of customers. The covid statement is acting like an apology for this poor customer regard. Its a shame as it seems one or a few people are going to cost a lot of people their livelihoods."

This was our visit for Sunday lunch whilst on holiday. Beef and veg local produce and well cooked. We were disappointed with the serving staff not wearing masks even visors would offer some protection.

big restaurant, but because of all the small cozy corners they have won, they do not notice that. friendly staff, good eating and a huge amount of delicious desserts. tipp don't take a starter, but save the space for the desert

absolutely ineffective eating! the best! this restaurant was recommended by my partner family who has been coming for years to newquay and every year visit them here! so glad that we have come, can not eat or personal mistakes, atmosphere is beautiful, the little story about how covid hit this restaurant is a readable, very touching! will come back next year. can't wait!

There are no words for how exceptional the food here is. The brisket is the most tender, perfectly cooked beef ever, the lamb falls apart. The duck is incredible. BUT, just wait for the desserts. Never before or again will a human smile as much as they do when the desserts (which you can have half and half of, in order to enjoy two) are placed in front of them. Perfection

Dropped in unexpectedly. Immediately seated and advised this was table service and someone would be along shortly. They were. Excellent quality food, reasonable portions and a fair price. Not the cheapest, but in line with the quality of the food. Our meal was not rushed and staff were available as needed throughout. Absolutely will be back. my wife remembered this place 3 years ago, I had forgotten it. we returned and it is still amazing eating that we took my mother to lunch, she was very satisfied. the first picture is the plaque of my builder, second the new york deli sandwich my mother. there are cakes and puddings are also amazing. we went on a Tuesday early afternoon, so was not too busy, but we were asked if we book so they can book a table. they make a roast every day that looked good. some pictures of the breakfast I had the big and wow it all day I liked my food very good price thinking, my was 9.95 2 sausages 2 ei, but I had diced so seems more 2 speck (can ask to cook a little longer) bor, cut roasted kartoffeln 2 t...

Have been a regular customer for many years. However , a recent impulse stop for lunch was a big mistake. The food was poor and the server was very inexperienced and dumped our food in front of us and disappeared. Not wanting to make a scene and complain in front of all the customers I decided to wait until we got home and reported our experience to them by email. We were treated like we were lying as they wished to review things on their CCTV. Didn’t bother to reply so after 10 days I contacted them again and a satisfactory resolution was not received.
