"I love Japanese food and in my search have found that Japanese restaurants are generally owned by non-Japanese so when you see one where the whole staff and majority of the patrons are also Japanese, needless to say I'm intrigued. For starters they have Asahi...beer on tap, second good sign. The gyozas are good but weren't very warm. Followed that with Japanese tonkatsu Curry Education was really good with the shredded chicken in the gravy, in hindsight didn't really need the Tonkatsu. Lastly, had the basic miso ramen and noodles were a perfect al dented with a nice surprise of bok choy. The next time I'm here for a congress will go back for sure."

We stayed here on a Sunday afternoon. It was fast, fresh and tasty. Will return. Nothing negative. Friendly!

The food here is just the best. Not a sushi restaurant but great japanese food. People are also super nice and kind. This is a place to go!

The ramen is the best you can buy, the curry and rice just taste great. This is my favorite restaurant. There's the best ramen! I can only recommend. View menu

marvellous, only Japanese nudelplatz. ramen, udon, no soba! have curry and tonkatsu (hähnchen,) etc. at dinner when full, people tend to sit longer, to take a place, and then the staff is a little uncreatiw to reorder tables to...parts of or more.

We walked here specifically for ramen at Umaimon, and it was so worth it. The noodles are all based around chicken, so no pork here. I was a little surprised, but the flavor and quality was absolutely superb. The broth made me think of the...chicken soups my mom made for me as a child when I was sick. If you're in Düsseldorf go to Umaimon, even if it's out of your way. It's totally worth it.

Went here with a coworker, we don't speak German or Japanese so communicating was interesting. We both read enough German we could figure out what is on the menu, and the staff was very patient and gracious. Food was hot, fresh and excellent. Value priced...and great service what's not to love and go back again. Warning they do not take credit cards, or maybe Visa only so bring cash. The large menu means you can go in several times and still have more to explore. View menu

We have visited the restaurant in a chilly cold Sunday evening at around pm. Restaurant was full but since there were degrees outside we asked to wait inside. We were literally pushed outside the door and waited minutes freezing. When we finally...got a table and ordered, the waitress completely forgot the dish of one of our party (we were And finally, they messed up with our bill. I have never in my life experienced such a poor service in a Japanese restaurant. Maybe for the terrible cold and maybe for the food quality, of us the day after had stomach problems. Avoid this place, there are much better ones in Düsseldorf.

There's an old saying, if the locals go then it must be good. Well, every time I come to this Japanese restaurant it is full. I soon learned why. The food is great and the price is fair lunch). The menu isn't so big...and neither is the space, so if you can you better reserve your spot! The seats are interesting because they are made out of a very heavy wood/stone (who knows) but they aren't so comfortable but nonetheless the good food will distract you! As a bonus, you can get a meal stamp card so the more you eat you can eventually get a bonus dinner/lunch! If you come at lunch, call beforehand otherwise you might be waiting in a line.
