"We didn't pre book so it was nice to get a table on a Friday evening. We were induled a table for four so we could sit side by side to enjoy the bay view. The food: I had ribeye medium rare. Listen, it was absolutely delicious! I am so fussy with beef and how it is cooked so its always nice when a chef gets it to MY taste which is usually pink but with no blood! Most either under cook or over cook my beef! The vegetables where just well done. Not to soft not too hard just a little bit more than Aldenté. But it was still good. The sauce was nice and the chips was the usual chips. My partner had Dover Sole and he felt it was over cooked and rubbery- not soft and fluffy. This is why we knocked off 1 star. I had a taste and I would say it was a little bit over cooked but tasted really good. I think this is probably more of a personal preference thing. We tend to show our fish just enough heat to cook but we still like it fluffy. I would still recommend the fish and be happy to eat it. So don't be put off. We are just super fussy! The staff are adorable and friendly. The place is clean and well decorated. The price of the food is reasonable. My stake cost under £30 which is about normal for most restaurants. My wife and I visited here on June 3rd. The staff were absolutely amazing! very kind and talkative! food and drinks were great too! I keep telling people since we left that Cardiff is home to the nicest people in the world!

16 of us went on 14 August and I must say the staff was so attentive and pleasant, the food was hot and tasty. We've been there twice and even though it was a while and in a new location we were not disappointed. I would definitely recommend it. Thanks Kath Rees.

It was a busy night in Cardiff Bay and most restaurants turn customers away due to short employees. We found an outdoor table at the Bayside. The staff was attentive and we immediately felt relaxed. We order and the food that came out was cooked for perfection. Spent a few hours watching the sun set and enjoy good food and wine.

First time eating here. Sat outside overlooking the bay. Beautiful views. Food was very nice. We had 2 courses for £15. My boyfriend and dad had fish of the day which was cod. Batter looked hot and crispy and not greasy. My minute steak and fries was really nice with my mam having chicken in sauce. The Gruyerre souffle for starters with beetroot puree and fennel was beautiful. Would eat here again
