"we booked here on guessing a colleague who said... her friends came for a weekend and the only thing they wanted to do was go to delta for his call. from the outside is it one of those "where am I"? go? that cannot be the right moments. only very common brickwork of a warehouse for meat processing. nothing special. the entrance foyer begins to reveal something special with the food and drink shop in the ground floor. go up the narrow, shaky stairs and are greeted by the wood pig above. the restaurant then opens to an exclusive restaurant with many tables. we arrived at 6 and were among the first there. when we left, it was full! we all agreed that steaks were unbelievable, but the accompanying pommes and bratkartoffellen rounded off the whole thing. the dessert was good and everything was served with excellent. a really great culinary experience. highly recommended!"

the first time at this place with international guests was very nice. unexpectedly cozy restaurant in the former hamburger meat packer district. very good quality of food, not too expensive and charming service. weinkarte also for medium sized budgets with good quality.

the food was excellent; the best meat in hamburg and a great location. the price is ok (approx. 300€ for 4 seats including wine). the service was terrible; our waiter was so rude and rude that we were so close to leaving the restaurant. I will certainly choose another place for another business dinner. View menu

this is a bistro/meat restaurant above the delta meat market. as it is only a few minutes walk from the hamburg messe (the exhibition center of hamburg), it is always full. are they patient with the employees, because they are always spirited and not fast, but they get there at the end. each of their meats is excellent and to be reasonable praise.

I was already at some places that have great meat dishes, but this place has surprised me, the meat was soou delicious, perfectly prepared, I really enjoyed it, we had the carpaccio as an appetizer, followed by ribeye with bratkartoffels, chili BBQ sauce, beilagensalat, there was so much service that I had recommended to be finished there (but I would not be able to see this

the hotel is located in the meat district, near the trade fair and the U/S star hill. make sure they have an address, otherwise it's hard to find. at the top of a warehouse you will find this hidden gem. friendly staff, good service. we have taken the teller for two for the beginning: simply great. they slowly go to the size of the meat they have ordered; it's so good, it's broken up on the back. the restaurant is quite hidden, but I would recommend you try it - because it is worth it anyway! we came here on a busy Saturday night and the atmosphere was great. the waiters are friendly and helpful and very professional. they serve mainly steaks with supplements after choice, but also some fish dishes and a delicious and juicy pork chop that I had together with Tuscan tomatoes. wein selection is good. the restaurant recommended to anyone I know in hamburg :) would definitely come back!

recently, during the smm fair in hamburg behind the main hall we dared to the road, to an apparently long warehouse. we went into the delta bistro and found the warehouse full of different spirits, weeping and Spanish jamon hanging in the window. a sign led us up and to our surprise there was a beautifully decorated dining room with white linen and serviettes. all the waiters wore beautiful hunting and ties. the waiters were very pleasant and provided some of us English menus. the day dishes for lunch were very reasonable and my steak and my ofenkartoffel were excellent. very recommend not only during the fair, but at any time for lunch or dinner.

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
