"Booked online and confirmed with Hilton and by The Fork e mail. Hilton Telephoned to confirm 2 days prior to booking date to ensure we were still coming. One of my party couldn't come so I telephoned the Hilton direct the day before the booking to cancel one space which they confirmed verbally but luckily took my mobile number again. On the morning of the booking, the next day, I received a call from the manager to tell me I had no booking at all and he couldn't take a booking as they needed 24 hours notice, I booked on 25th May???? When I proved to him I had confirmation from The Fork the he said that online bookings were a different system and he had no knowledge of it????? After a little while, while he checked again, he came back to me and said I can accomodate you today When we got there the afternoon tea we were served was a cobbled affair with frozen scones defrosted so still really cold and crumble to nothing when cut making it very difficult to put jam and cream on, sandwhiches per person were filled with 1 salmon, 1 plastic cheese that you put on burgers with a little tomato and 1 ham without any pickle or mustard or anything else I could identify other than butter and 1 extra ham to fight over, all predominately white bread. 1 Scone each as I described either plain or fruit, again decide who gets which, cakes were a slice of Victoria sponge, 3 mini maccorons and 1 thin slice of meringue filled with some sort of creamish filling but not very nice. This was not the afternoon tea I had ordered and the price reflected that thank goodness but even then not worth the money. Very, Very disappointing. Had I not telephoned to cancel one place we would have turned up to find nothing in place at all. Not acceptable."

Today we enjoyed a lovely lunch looking out over the gardens, delicious juicy cheeseburgers with crisp prosecco and excellent service! Highly recommend!

There was inadequate staffing in the evening with only one waitress and one bartender for the entire restaurant. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed. The bar food was decent, but the food in the restaurant was of a very poor quality.

I booked a table 12.30 for lunch today at St Annes Manor. When we arrived for lunch we were informed that they were not serving lunch hadn't been for several months. So please amend your website so others do not have a wasted journey as we did!!

the quality of eating was terrible. basic white brot terrible fillings and shop purchased scene! the cakes were terrible. nothing was homemade or high quality. the table was not set, the waiter asked us, teller, tassen and sauce etc. to pass the table. really not what they expect for a hilton hotel. the restaurant was not available, it was cleaned. table in the winter garden, where people business meetings. it took half an hour from sitting to get a menu. the water jug arrived 10 minutes later and driped wet, it was placed on the menu above. long wait for the order of eating. finally it arrived and was freezing and very inconspicuous. a very unacceptable experience.

the restaurant had no record about our booking and never claimed to hear from thefork.co.uk, but to the happy found a table for us anyway extremely busy. eating was nice, service a little slow by personal lack, a few items on the beverage menu. a meal had to go back, which wasn't quite ordered. overall an underwhelming experience, although the employees tried to get their best and everything very committed.

stay here lego land dinner was part of the deal for which we paid extra. the service was extremely slow (not helped by forgotten staff.) chicken wings and tomatensuppen were ok. mostly very disappointing- rib auge steak (which was incident and extra charge), at best a bit boiled steak and not cooked to the desired level. margarita pizza was comparable to 69p smart price pizza. lachs was okay, but veg was cold. in fairness brownie and cheesecake dessert were in order, but an old took to get View menu

I booked afternoon tea on line, however when we reached the restaurant they thought we were going for lunch so we had to wait for over an hour for food to be prepared. I also phoned which took over 30 mins to inform them in advance that a member of the booking was gluten free. It would be much easier to phone st anns directly, however I had to go through Double Tree booking system which was unnecessarily complicated and as evidenced, entirely useless. The quality of the food was also poor, however I expect this was due to food being prepared on the spot defrosted?

Not the way it should be….despite a good salmon fillet with some easy steamed broccoli nothing is over the standard required as an Hilton Double Tree 4 Stars….Rib eye steak was nothing special also asked to be cooked medium rare and came one side almost well done one side raw…chunky chips smelt strange…oil was probably not that fresh or deep fried in not vegetarian fryer….I ordered some hummus and pita as started that never came….I asked for some bread and the waitress did not even came back to say something about….normal apple e cinnamon pie with very commercial chocolate ice cream and a very awful red wine that taste just acidity….what are we talking about??? This is just a joke…

"After many years, on recommendation of others, went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Whilst the food was excellent, the service was atrocious and totally ruined what should have a lovely night out on a very special occasion. Booked for and seated...promptly. Orders for aperitifs taken and drinks brought promptly. Order for wine taken, bottle brought and opened. Then it all went downhill. Waited for over minutes for our meal order to be taken and that only happened because I signalled to the girl behind the bar that I was getting unhappy. First course then took about minutes to arrive. However our main course took until to arrive. I have never ever waited minutes for a main course to arrive. It would not have been so bad if the staff had shown any interest or we had been able to grab hold of one to ask what was going on, they just seemed to totally ignore us! As mentioned earlier, the food, when it did arrive, was very good, it would have been even better if the side order of vegetables my wife had ordered had also arrived. We did ask what had happened to them but when we were told they had been overlooked, decided to just make do and share mine. To add insult to injury, while we were waiting we noticed that other couples were eating dishes that were not on the menu we had been given. I later found out that we were supposed to have been given a specials menu but this had also been overlooked. At the end, the manager was very apologetic and gave a cursory discount however this was not the point. It was a special occasion at a not inexpensive restaurant I would have preferred to pay the full price and not had a ruined evening. Needless to say, we will not be returning."

"After reviewing the menu, we decided to go for a 'running buffet' and shared a variety of dishes, reordering every ten minutes or so. I asked everyone to rate each dish on a scale of 1 to 5, and every main dish received a perfect score of 5, except for the Szechuan Prawns, which got a 5.5, and the sizzling spicy chicken, which scored a 6! The rice and noodles were all delicious—fluffy, tasty, and well-seasoned—but we gave them all a rating of 4 simply because the mains were exceptional. The standout dishes were the Char Siew (honey pork), which we ended up ordering three times, and the sizzling hot spicy chicken, which we ordered twice. It had a delightful kick of heat, was tender and moist, and had a wonderful sauce—even though I tried to manage the scores, they rated it a 6! The Szechuan prawns were plump, firm, and cooked to perfection, and they scored a very hard-fought 5.5, with just the right amount of heat. One of the boys was a bit picky, but we requested a serving of Singaporean noodles without vegetables for him without any hassle. This isn’t just average food; it’s really good, and it comes out quickly, looks appealing, and tastes fantastic—reflecting its price. We also tried the 'wine by the glass' options. The white Chilean Sauvignon Blanc paired well with the food, while I enjoyed an Australian Shiraz that complemented the beef, pork, and spicy dishes nicely. The Italian 'Blush' rosé was also a hit. We're already planning to return on Monday with another group of six to explore more of the menu, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. If you truly appreciate good food, I highly recommend trying Chef Peking!"
