"La Duchessa is a very good Italian Restaurant in Alt Bornheim. Overall the quality of the food is very good, and the prices are in general also okay, some items are a bit overpriced though. The soups are generally very good, especially the Minestrone. The...Pizze are very nice too. In the Salad section I recommend the Insalata di Mare. Pasta are actually a little bit hit and miss. Here I would recommend to chose from the weekly specials. Meat dishes are generally good, with good meat quality. However it is advisable to order beef one grade less cooked as you actually would like to have it. I often received well done steaks which were ordered as medium. One thing which I would never have expected happened sometime in Spring: I ordered Asparagus, together with Schnitzel. The Asparagus was good, no question. The Schnitzel however was sensational, one of the best if not the best I had in Frankfurt. It is also available on the main menu, but in a hidden place, which is understandable, as this is an Italian place after all. Service is friendly and attentive. Overall a place I like to visit."

I always order from them online, never disappointed. No gourmet restaurant, but high-quality, solid, excellently made Italian comfort food. Highly recommended.

It is a local' and therefore relies mostly on the surrounding district to support it. Lovely quality with their pasta and pizza dishes and again nice seasonal special had a great Salsicchia this time and they offer a good selection of reasonably priced...wines.

I came here with friends for an early dinner and we all enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is simple with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is also excellent and feels authentic Italian. I personally had a seafood pasta,...which was very well prepared and rich in ingredients. They also have quite a large selection of pasta and pizza dishes as well as other Italian dishes. Definitely would recommend this place.

This restaurant was a surprising find near to my hotel. The staff all speak Italian/German and some do OK in English. They do have English menus which is very helpful. Being of simple needs, I ordered a simple salad and penne Bolognaise. The meals came...quickly and were of good quality and quantity. I would have liked the sauce on the Bolognaise to have been a bit more mobile (liquid) but it was ok. The following evening I returned and had a spinach soup and a pizza with salami. The soup seemed to have been fresh to order and was quite good except that I found it too salty, after a long wait, (half an hour) the pizza came. It was a large pizza (about in traditional style, but a gain too sa...
