"We stumbled across this restaurant during our stay for the Euros and over 9 days we went back every day. The set menus, the a la carte, the wine list all proved too good not to keep coming back. If the food and wine weren't enough, the owner and his waitress were the quintessential hosts. They served French food from the region which even has influences from Italy, just up the road. The quality of the ingredients, the presentation and the choice of local wines translated into a gastronomic experience which will be remembered for a long time. Eat inside, or weather-permitting, on the terrace, just off a small town square. You'll smile at the idiosyncratic way the menu is delivered to the table. I'll not say how because that's for you to find out.Denis, the host, speaks good English, has a dry sense of humour and will take time to explain the menu items and where they are sourced. Prompt service, great French food, lovely local wines, all served with a smile. Wish I was eating there tonight. Sigh."

The Bouchon Provencal is not to be recommended for tourists. The attitude of the staff and the food is not really suitable for non-french citizens.

Excellent restaurant in a quiet alley of the old town. The homemade cooking is delicious. The boss is very friendly. I highly recommend! A real pleasure!

Small friendly restaurant in the old St Raphael where you can enjoy good Italian dishes with fresh products. Specialities of excellent Bruschettas! I recommend View menu

Booked a table after reading the reviews on trip advisor, and was not let down.Great atmosphere friendly service and delicious food. Both my partner and I enjoyed a faultless three course meal and came out of the restaurant with a smile on our face. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I went here with my in-laws who live in Saint-Raph and never eat out in their own town. Which I can understand- a lot of the restaurants cater for less-than-discerning beach tourists. But one evening we ate here, and it was actually perfectly fine. Which says a lot in this context.

This was our second visit in 3 months and we left satisfied.Good home cooking, the chef is talented.Delicious beignets fleurs de courgettes, superb authentic aioli, unfortunately on fridays only.It is oneof the better restaurants in St Raphael frequented by locals who know about genuine good food. I could hardly manage to eat the generous range of sea food balanced on my plate. a langustine positioned with claws around a potato towered over the mixture of shellfish . A range of fresh vegetables lurked below. The food was delicious full of flavour stylishly presented. The restaurant was fully booked and mostly local people everybody eating with enjoyment My husband was delighted with his fois gras starter and well presented scallops. We wanted to return for lunch the following day but sadly our train times did not allow us enough time.

To us it is unbelievable that this restaurant is not ranking in top in Saint Raphael. Situated in the centre of the old town - away from the newbuild artificial yachting ghettos where the sailors eat probably without knowing which Miditerranean town they are in - you really feel at the centre of life... Close to the old church, the food market and many cosy bars and cafés. Especially if you reserve one of the tablet in free air you will have a show watching life passing by.We had zucchini flowers for starters, deeeelicious, then the most noble fish of them all, turbot, very well cooked with interesting pumpkin and other stuff... and for dessert an apricot dessert in three variations that mad...
