great mood, good menu. will definitely be back. veggie and vegan options as well as gluten-free breakfast and lunch options plus many desert

only coffee and a few cocktails. coffee was as they would expect and the cocktails ok. the service was a bit slow, but ok. prices a little expensive, but I think it's a reflection from everywhere currently.

Visited on a Sunny Sunday afternoon and enjoyed a chicken burger. Sat outside in the canopyslightly warm as they had the log burner on… (May!!??) Warned there would be a wait on food but we found it acceptable… Young servers provided a mixed bag on...service.

Shoddy service, but to be very fair to the young staff, management clearly do not disseminate instructions, it could be because it's new, who knows. The toilets were disgusting, you really need to sort out a cleaning rota, and make one person responsible for how...the public sees your efforts.

Came here with friends on Saturday night and we were excited to sample the cocktails. One of our party wanted a cosmo which wasn't on the menu but seems a pretty classic option so we asked if one could be made but were told no....Fair enough, she opted for a prosecco instead. Two friends chose one of the specials but found it tasted like cleaning fluid. I had a mojito which I couldn't actually taste any rum in at all. Overpriced and disappointing.

I booked a table late evening via the face book page. I was messaged straight back with an offer of a table in the new covered outbuilding on the day I’d requested. The outbuilding is such an amazing addition to the place. And has more...than doubled the ever popular indoor dining area. It has a lovely atmosphere and over looks the river and its bank of trees. There is a bar and small stage area for live music acts and a gorgeous central double sided log burner that was lit and warmed the whole room perfectly. for a afternoon tee with my two sisters and mama for a high-time celebration. we were booked for 12.45, we were shown on our table and a dame has an order for drinks. then she asked if we knew what to eat. After I said we were booked for the afternoon, she apologized and said she was not aware. she brought our softdrinks past, then asked if we wanted tee or coffee if someone had any allergies and whether we were obstinate or simply prefer scene. we have made our decisions and then we are almost an hour away! we asked how much longer our food would be and she said it was almost done. she said everything was made of fresh and therefore she asked for allergies and skeletal preferences. This was our 3rd visit to the Mad hatter, having previously been happy with our experiences but today was disappointing. The service was really poor, seemed almost unorganised no one person looking after our table, having to ask for basics like cutlery, condiments and sugar...for coffee etc, but even when you asked you had to wait it wasn’t brought promptly, just lots of waiting.
