"After reading reviews that gave a fantastic overview of this Restaurant…we just had to give it a go! So , firstly the Cab to the Restaurant was 12 euros…it’s quite a little drive from Almuñécar.. When we arrived there was a large noisy Wedding party which drowned out any conversation!..We both ordered TBone Steak…and immediately I tried to cut in to mine the meat was apparently Raw and not as I ordered…I asked that it be cooked a couple more minutes…. I noticed my daughter was struggling to cut hers up ..I asked her if it was ok and she said honestly Mum it’s just fat and muscle!!!…she showed me and you could see it was just as she said…you couldn’t even cut into the meat for gristle and thick unrendered fat streaks running all through the meat! We called the waiter back and showed him the fact that it was too bad to even get a proper piece to eat from it! Being a Chef myself, I sat there and listened as the Manager explained how this was ‘quite normal’ in Spain… that is how Spanish meat was!!!… I have lived in Spain and Never Ever had an expensive cut of Steak like that ,that you couldn’t cut up!!… The TBone was advertised in the menu as 48 euros per kilo….. there was no exact price on the Steak itself….just by weight. We were not getting anywhere with this guy…even when I showed him my steak and pulled up all the fat and gristle…he STILL maintained…’this is normal’!!! I asked him to show me what parts I COULD Eat!…. Such a con artist, he tried to explain …no you don’t cut there… you cut here ..and leave this bit and don’t cut this bit as everyone knows that’s not edible!!! I’d had enough of his Spanish’Bull’….And said well, we don’t want them…and that’s that we just want the bill ….He took our plates away, we went to pay the bill at the Bar…It had just been left on a plate…I picked it up to see he had charged us 79 Euros for 1 TBone Steak !!!…we’d not eat Either! He was nowhere to be seen…so I was so angry I just left 40 Euros and left…he knew he had literally seen us coming and ripped us off ,but never stayed around to take our money OR object to me leaving less than charged on bill !!! Just Thieves !!… Preying on Tourists! I don’t trust a lot of these ‘Wonderful’ reviews Anymore!!!!"

Un Mesón de carretera en las afueras de Almuñécar con referencias de carnes a la brasa de ternera e ibérico aceptables y platos Caseros bien trabajados.

Todo muy rico, casero y abundante. Carnes a la brasa y pescados bien preparados. La tarta de queso remato un gran menu con unas vistas muy chulas del valle!!!! Totalmente recomendable

Estuvimos ayer un grupo de amigos, veníamos de hacer una ruta. Y le doy la máxima puntuación por que se la merece. Las cervezas súper frias y las tapas que ponen están buenísimas, El camarero que nos atendió muy amable y profesional. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

Muy recomendable. La carne a la brasa, espectacular. Pedimos pluma, secreto y pollo, todo muy bueno. El aguacate de la ensalada buenísimo, falló un poco el tomate pero es cierto que no es época. La tarta de queso riquísima. Servicio muy amable y atento, tuvieron un detalle con nosotros que nos encantó, muchas gracias.

El lugar no está mal, el comedor es amplio y cuenta con chimenea. Tiene una terraza justo en frente, con lo cual para servir al cliente el personal de servicio tiene que desplazarse cruzando una carretera con tráfico con las comandas y bebidas, con el peligro que ésto conlleva no solo para el personal, también para los clientes que necesiten ir al WC. La comida está bastante buena y es muy abundante, aunque la carne a la brasa está muy hecha.

Decir qué aunque no fue a comer que paramos, fueron de de cervezas y de lo que nos pusieron picoteo, cervezas muy fresquitas, nos pedimos dos trozos de pastel casero, que fue de queso y a los tres chocolates, a cual de ellos más bueno, el chico se portó genial con nosotros en todo momento, que no le daba tiempo a servir las cervezas, pobre. Estuvo genial, aparte que estuvimos en la terraza que daba a los aguacateros, más a gusto imposible. Segurísimo que volvemos para probar sus platos a la brasa, Muchas gracias!!
