"During a brief stay in Chester, my husband and I came across this restaurant on TripAdvisor. The ambiance was pleasant and the waitress was friendly. We opted for a reasonably priced bottle of barolo and enjoyed our starters. However, my husband's chicken was average and my pasta marinara was disappointing. The dish was described on the menu as containing prawns, mussels, and squid, but I found only a small amount of flavorless prawns and mussels, along with two rubbery, unidentifiable pieces that I assumed to be squid. Additionally, the dish was filled with cheap seafood sticks instead of the promised seafood. The tomatoes and garlic were barely cooked and lacked flavor. For the price of £13, I expected a more satisfying seafood dish with juicy prawns and mussels, not imitation crab sticks. The waitress was too busy to check on our meals, so I didn't send it back. I ended up picking out the seafood and eating only some of the pasta. We were not charged for the meal, but I was disappointed to not have a full dining experience. When I asked about the inclusion of crab sticks, the waitress informed me that it was standard practice. I expressed my disappointment with the lack of prawns and mussels in shells, but was told that customers often complain about shells in their seafood dishes."

The restaurant served delicious food, but it was very crowded. We had to return a drink because it was served in a dirty glass with a chip in it. They brought us the same glass, now clean but still with the chip. If a glass is chipped, it should be thrown out. Despite this mistake, the food was still delicious.

Very enjoyable meal. Lovely local Italian restaurant, with, in my case, excellent artichoke, caper pasta with tomato roasted pepper sauce full of flavour. Service was very friendly value for money very good. Our fellow diners seemed like regulars wish we had somewhere like Pacinos round the corner from where I live.

Such a fab night, food was delicious, staff lovely and welcoming. We were a large party approx 30, food was preordered. We were given half the restaurant as our area and everyone could purchase their own drinks from the bar saving on a complicated bill paying situation at the end. A very relaxed and enjoyable evening was had by all. View menu

This restaurant is an absolutely amazing find! It is off the main town street which was in very close proximity to our hotel. The food was absolutely incredible and the service was also excellent. Our waitress was fantastic and offered valuable knowledge about portion sizes and recommendations. If I was in the area again I would 100 percent revisit.

A random choice from the internet. Went with the great reviews and cannot fault it. Friendly service from everyone. Including the other customers… a smiling, laughing baby always helps. Clean tables and restaurant, food was lovely. Just enough that you still had room for the pudding!!! And for 4 of us and a baby eating garlic bread, the price was great as well. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I returned to Pacinos for the second time and once again, I was impressed by the excellent service and food. The sea bass was delicious, generous in portion, and cooked perfectly. The steak was also cooked exactly as I requested, which is sadly not always the case at other places. The sticky toffee pudding was very good, as well as the rhubarb panna cotta. I highly recommend a visit to Pacinos, as it is just a few minutes walk from the center of Chester. View menu

I first came to this restaurant as a teenager in the late 1980s and was a regular visitor over the years. After seven years living away, we returned with family this evening for dinner and was delighted to find the same fantastic standard of food and a warm welcome. Thank you for a wonderful evening! The food was delicious and very good value for money. This family-run restaurant has been a hidden gem in Chester for decades and has earned a loyal following. Well worth a visit!

Ordered starters which were lovely. 3 mains of pasta ordered and one chicken dish but waited for veg to arrive but after several minutes I had to go and ask, they’d forgotten. Really lovely food but after we had chatted for another 3/4 of an hour and finished our wine we realised nobody had bothered to come and check if we would like dessert or coffee so we just got the bill and left. Although the food was lovely we did feel totally forgotten, after forgetting part of the main course I would have thought an extra effort would have been made, left us all feeling disappointed

"I booked a table for 2 really last minute on a busy December night, piccolio’s manger cosimo took the booking, he was so friendly and helpful that we really needed after a hard work in the cold winter weather! we went in and the restaurants that were breathtaking have woken us! the decor is stylish and above all it was so warm and cozy what we needed, we were greeted with smiles all around by every worker and was immediately taken on our table, without waiting time what ever! we were so swollen! Shortly after we sat, we tamara welcomed them beautiful, well presented and extremely polite. we thought up the menu, while tamara served us the most delicious Rosè Prosecco and took our orders. it was a hard choice, as we wanted to order one of all, the menu choices sound exquisite! so much choice and catering for all food requirements. my own and my friend decided to go for the spaghetti frutti di mare, which was absolutely inconceivable! muddle, mush and calamari topped with a huge garlic king prawn! it didn't take long until there were two empty teller and full bell! we stayed and talked together about the life and there was no hurry to move us from table to tamara has checked us we were so glad to have chosen piccolino chester for our girly dinner date and just wanted to say a massive thank you to cosimo, tamara and the piccolino team. I can't wait to come back to another fantastic evening."
