"I was directed here by the staff at the next door supermarket. So glad I followed up on the information, in spite of the road works which left it pretty isolated on that day.It was after ten in the morning and I hadn't eaten so...I ordered a small breakfast without the beans and the hash browns, but could still get away with a full slice of toast as I only eat one slice of bread a day when I am low carb-ing. When breakfast came it was clearly, freshly cooked, and consisted of three plump pork sausages, a slice of black pudding, a slice of haggis, two rashers of good quality tasty bacon, and two eggs fried to perfection, along with toast and two pats of real butter. I also chose tea and it came with a top up pot of boiling water. The waitress was friendly I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and I know I have paid more and eaten less well in competing eateries. I would, and will recommend this great little restaurant to everyone. Absolutely excellent !!"

The food was disgusting. Veggies beware, i asked if chips were fried in veg oil, they said yes but they tasted of lard.

there is only one thing that the sit down eating experience and that is the excessive air conditioning. I was here about 4/5 times, and it's always in vain. it is a pity because eating, service and prices are excellent....As about a partition between eating and taking away and then some heating. will still be back, only my winter wool on.

Went in after a cycle and waited in the queue to order, only for 2 young girls who were friends with the girl serving to walk straight in and be greeted and immediately have their order taken, I said there was a queue only to...be scoffed at by the girl behind the counter, also had a look online and it seems to have failed the food hygiene check. Will never be back.

We used to visit this place regularly when it was called Little Italy and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was separated from the chip shop and it appeared to be successful. However, the restaurant closed and reopened by being integrated into the chip shop...area. The food since then has been pretty average and it never appears to be busy and lacks any atmosphere.

Don't let the Take Away part fool you. Their table service is second to none and their menu is huge. Their food delicious. We were visiting from the States, and my father-in-law, who lives in Edinburgh, introduced us to this gem. What a lovely place....Lovely people. Fish and Chips were to die for. The pizza was superb. My kids were in heaven. Very friendly staff. Also, tried it for breakfast, and dinner (had the Big Boy Kebab... OMG, delicious Out of the three times we visited, not once were we let down. Definitely worth the drive from the city centre if you're visiting. Bus 47 gets you there and back as well. Totally worth it!

tonight we used the takeaway for fish and chips, because we were looking for a good chippy near our new house. we didn't find it. I went in about half of five. it wasn't busy, not a good sign. at that time on a Friday. I ordered fish and chips and was served immediately. When I came home, we opened the boxes and found fish in the duck, which were like granite. obviously the fish was cooked and then stored in the hot display, dried, so that it was practically unusable. the fish tasted not good, but that was not necessarily due to its quality, but its handling. we ate most of the fish and threw away the diligent. the chips were good the first and last.
