"The food was good but not amazing, not great value for the price. The restaurant space was quite tight and it’s hard to get the attention of staff. The bread and olives are nice, with a few different types of bread like seeded and some containing nuts. The starters were big enough to share but the ratio of vegetables to the portion size was too small which lead them them running out quickly. This pattern follows with the mains but the dish was well cooked in all. The best part was definitely the dessert. They were light and not too rich with the show stopper of the Tiramisu. I would recommend this place for a more relaxing dessert and wine evening hangout."

Cosy, unpretentious, quality dining experience. Especially loved the ragu on pappardelle richly satisfying.

What a gem! A real authentic Italian restaurant with true Italian dishes!! I had Tagliatelle Vesuvio which was just sublime!! I highly recommend Rucoletta for a real feel for Italian food and hospitality! View menu

Went at lunchtime today to celebrate our daughter's birthday. One waitress had an unpleasant manner, mixed up an order with no apology and was impatient and abrupt. We have enjoyed going several times before but won't be going back.

if they are looking for authentic Italian foods, this is from the subway new york with a large Italian population the quality comes here. the prices are typical of london. wein on the glass is operable. many options, including vegetarian, are on the menu.

that was a business dinner, we had an excellent service from beginning to end, a light touch, just right. the selection of diners was traditional Italian, my guests enjoyed the special of the day very much. we were Monday, london was pretty, but this restaurant was busy, which is a great sign. I'll be back soon. View menu

Another leisurely late lunch here, where you are be left alone to eat, drink and catch up without being chased out. Service was good, food great and atmosphere welcoming comfortable. Its good Italian food in the City of London so not a budget eatery, but Rucoletta is a place I am very happy to recommend and return to.

This small, independent restaurant was a great find and we will definitely be coming back. Conveniently located on a quiet street near St Paul’s the food was superb and the service was excellent. A special mention for Odette, our waitress, who looked after us so. She made us feel very welcome and gave excellent advice on the menu

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
