"Shiva, although very small in size lies among the best Indian restaurants in Munich. Saying that, I must remind the readers that the Indian restaurants in Munich are generally quite ordinary in terms of quality and authenticity. Nevertheless, Shiva offers a cozy place with an...extremely humorous owner/waiter (sarcastic). I would recommend the Kheema paratha (one of the best in town), bhuna gosht and peeli dal. Good value for money."

Staff is nonchalant towards Indian visitors. Food isn't authentic Indian either. Gravy seems the same for all the preparations.

Depressingly familiar story when searching for Indian food in Munich don't bother. Bland curries and tandoori, poor pilau rice, reasonable naan bread, hefty bill.

Everytime we go there, we are not disappointed. The place itsself does not look so inviting, but try the food and you will be convinced and will come back. In the summertime you will find some seats to sit outside. Recommendation!

Being an Indian, would like to recommend this restaurant to all the lovers of Indian food. The taste and Ambiencr is exactly what you find in India. In an average a Single person Can Relish the Indian meal in around 15-18 euros. Do try chicken...curry , Salted Lassi and Its butter naan.

=:> the shiva offers a series of spicy lunches from 6,90€ to 9,90€. also vegetarians come here to their precious with inherited,- lenticular and spinach dishes. I usually take the spicy chicken masala for 7,90€. mango leti costs 3€ and the bright (ayinger) 6,40€/l. the service is usually serious, but correct. View menu

We were here for lunch and ordered from the Mittagskarte. The quantity was just right and the taste typical Indian. One trick that we have realised is that you tell the cook to make it the Indian way.We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Masala and Veg Korma along with Garlic Naan and simply loved it. The price for the afternoon is also quite decent and this makes the entire offering attractive.Recommended!

"Indian restaurants are becoming almost as ubiquitous in Munich as Italian restaurants lately, or so it would seem. So why did I give this one get 5 stars? In part because Yelp doesn't allow for half star ratings and I didn't feel right giving four after my wonderful dinner experience there and the excellent meals my guy has had there before me. Kamasutra is close to his work and we had dinner here after him and work friends raved about this place for lunch. They've only been open for about three months but it's a regular lunch stop for them now. One thing I noticed early on, they do not take shortcuts. Great care is put into food and service. The menu is varied, good selection of wine and cocktails too. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The interior is more modern and sleek than most Indian resto's. But what about the FOOD? We were in curry heaven. I had a jumbo shrimp curry and he had a chicken vindaloo. Sauces for both were rich, had complex, nuanced flavors and were not greasy or oily. And when they say spicy, they mean spicy, so for those of you lamenting the lack of proper spice level, make your way here NOW. If you don't want your curry toned down for the German palate, do have some here. Lovely garlic naan, very generous serving of good basmati. Delicious mango cream for dessert and real chai that wasn't syrupy sweet. Kamasutra is a real gem and a welcome addition to Munich."
