"chapletown is one of the most picturesque villages in lancashire. they will find historic buildings around each corner, including the chatham poore. what they do not find is a good quality meal unfortunately. the chetham is the only pub/restaurant in the village. and all they offer is bad. obviously they have lost inspiration and passion. her menu is boring and outdated. the ingredients seem cheap and each meal tastes like it was made with the microshaft. you interieur is outdated and openly strange. it is so a shame to see such a beautiful building in such a beautiful place wasted."

Had a lovely meal October 2021, found delicious, atmosphere warm and welcoming highly recommended. Staff very attentive and friendly, decorated very nicely for Halloween.

My favourite place in Edgworth. Always well pulled beer. New menu is completely yummy. Jazz always goes above and beyond to welcome her customers. Love the new colour scheme in the back room too. It’s nice that they promote community activities as well. As always,...we will be back! Elaine Eddie

Thank you so much for the most lovely day, you made our parents 60th wedding anniversary so special. The food was gorgeous, all 24 of us agreed and said how friendly and organised the whole team were. We’ve been a few times and the food...is always consistently great and the portions are plentiful, thanks again

After visiting St Anne\s Church down the road, we called in on spec for lunch and were not disappointed! A typical country pub serving home cooked food and delicious beer Landlord, for example). We had the cheese pie and Whitby scampi and they were...excellent. A relaxed atmosphere made it really enjoyable. We will return !

trace of the moments in the afternoon break after the visit of the friedhof in the church st. anne on the road. the place has different spaces, each with another feeling. it is also dog-friendly. it was a cold day, so we sat in a room with an open fire. we both had a sandwich with a cup suppe. the sandwich was very fresh and the suppe homemade tomaten and very tasty. the service was really good, the barmann was very pleasant. it was all table service. would go back.

Went with a friend for lunch here. Glad to see dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area as this would have put me off. Friendly, professional service. Good food. I had the cauliflower curry. We had cheesecake for dessert which was delicious. The menu...on the website had more choice than the menu in the restaurant which was chips with everything more or less. Good chips though! We went during the week at 1pm and it was fairly quiet. Lots of parking round the back. We will definitely making a repeat visit.

we met with friends after a dog walk. Three of us had fishcakes. it was full of fish. they had the fish and chips that looked delicious. veggies a little strange and possibly reheated, but all the others seemed freshly cooked. My man was very happy with the beer, so I had to go home. desserts were better than most at the price. service was excellent with a very friendly cheerful waitress, although we had to wait one for our meals. Yeah, we'd go back. decor might be a bit hard with warming, but maybe it fits the dogs.

I have eaten here 6 times. 5 times the service has been really slow, but the food has been good, so I've returned. Today the food took over an hour to arrive, and was not good, in terms of quality or quantity. Clearly the (one! ..person in the kitchen could not cope with the load, and was cutting corners. The place was quite busy. Some other people decided not to eat, having seen the delays I wish I had. I guess it's a consequence of Covid issues, or maybe Brexit, but I shan't be coming back. Pity, because they are really nice people, and it's a great location
