"This was a great find Stayed here for one night after visiting Oldfield Forge for a Blacksmithing experience as it was a short drive away Nice rooms. Lovely beer garden at the rear The pub is very nice, cosy and modern with vintage touches I had the HLA on draught which was a decent pint The restaurant is light and each tabke has plenty of room. The menu and choice is excellent The meal, (all 3 courses), was superb, as was breakfast Service was brilliant throughout our stay This is a friendly place and if I was local I'd be a regular. That is the highest praise I can give it Highly recommended"

Fantastic value, comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. What more can be asked for the price. The room floor was slightly sloped, which was strange. Apart from that all good! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet

This pub has a very convenient location and is dog-friendly. The staff were quite understanding of our one-year-old female dog, who was a bit barky, but fortunately, we were seated away from most of the other guests. Service: 5, Location: 5. View menu

Our stay at Harewood Inn was truly wonderful. The location is stunning, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The food was outstanding, and the staff was very attentive to our allergy and dietary needs. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we were also delighted to meet their lovely cat! We would love to return.

We had a great dining experience with plenty of excellent options for a Sunday dinner, even on short notice, despite the restaurant being quite busy. The staff were accommodating and offered assistance without hesitation, and the service was friendly and impressively quick considering the quality of the food. I will definitely be returning!

The experience was fantastic from start to finish. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and they made sure nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend making a reservation as it tends to get busy quickly. I also stayed overnight, and my room was spacious, clean, and featured a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again without a doubt. View menu

Absolutely first rate service. We stayed for two nights visiting nearby Hay Festival. When we made a request for an additional guest on the second night they went of their way to accommodate us. The bar is cosy and welcoming and the restaurant was clean, light and airy and a lovely buzzy place to have an evening meal. The dinner we had there and the breakfasts were excellent quality and great value for money. We fully recommend staying here!

"On entrance, the hotel looked lovely. Stunning views all around and a nice looking hotel, unfortunately this set us up for a big fall. The house is old and in desperate need of updating, it seems to attract an older generation of people and the ambience in the restaurant was somewhat flat. We had an experience voucher for a 2 course set meal. The waitress told us it was a main and dessert, but my husband wanted a starter so was happy to pay. He ordered the scotch egg, which came out nicely presented, but £9 for half a scotch egg...!! If this was true fine dining, which I assume this hotel is trying to do, then perhaps we might accept that but it was nothing special in the slightest. We both ordered pork, I specifically asked if it was cooked a little pink, which I dont like, i was told no. However, when it arrived, it was definitely too undercooked for my liking. Being on a voucher, I didn't feel I could complain too much so my husband ate it. The pork was served with soggy sweet potato fries, which had ridiculously been left in gravy and the meat was wrapped in soggy, fatty bacon which they claimed to be pancetta. Vegetables were some overcooked cherry tomatoes and very strange pickled cauliflower, with no option to order any side veg. I eat out a fair amount and have always had the choice if ordering sides. Dessert was a double chocolate terrine, sounded nice on paper but reality was a sugary slab of something with only a hint of chocolate. The waitresses were not particularly helpful or professional and at the end of the meal, they charged us for 2 desserts, even though I had stuck to the 2 courses with the voucher. Apparently, it should have been starter and main included, not the mains and dessert we were told originally! Overall quite a disaster, I could have cooked something far better at home with little effort. Very disappointing."
