"Went to this pub during summer with my friends. Mind you we are a group of 6 'colored ' people of different shades and ethnicities, and probably the only ones as such at the time we went. When we came in, we were completely ignored, not even a smile or a hello. It was a little bit packed so we chose a table in the corner that was seated for 5, and since there were six of us, we took a chair from the next table with full intention of explaining to the waiter when they 'd come to take our order and we were even thinking if we could request a proper table if available. Instead, one of the staff shouted at us that we cant take the chair and put it back where it belongs. We were speechless and shocked, so we left immediately and as we were leaving, the whole restaurant was staring at us and the staff were giving us the side eyes. Absolutely humiliating experience, as it was our first time in Cotswolds. It did dampen our mood until we managed to find a better and friendlier pub nearby."

Old building and not much room inside.Staff friendly but service a little slow, although was busy. The starter was cold but was replaced and not charged for. Good atmosphere. Service: 4 Location: 4

The review for the pub. Central location. A bit noisy. The beer was served lukewarm. disappointing. Delicious fish and chips, a large and generous portion. The fish is slightly anemic. OK service. Service: 3 Location: 5

I had a fantastic three-night getaway at this restaurant last week. The food and service were amazing, and the building had beautiful character. Additionally, the drinks were reasonably priced. Thank you. Rating: Rooms 5/5, Service 5/5, Location 5/5. View menu

My experience at the restaurant for dinner was good. I tried the pie special, but I prefer my pie to have a thicker filling/gravy which was lacking in this dish. I would recommend avoiding the cheesecake, as it was the only disappointment of the meal.

This restaurant is truly tucked away, only reachable by climbing stairs. The food was decent, I would give it 3 stars if there was a rating option. The prices were reasonable for the value. Service was good and the location was convenient. I would rate the service a 4 and the location a 4 as well. View menu

We booked a table for a Saturday evening. Our table was in the main bar area and a pretty dreadful place to eat as the bar was crowded and there was a constant stream of people entering the main door and walking past to enter different parts of the pub. The food was not great. One of the mushroom starters was overly salty and a feta and sun dried tomato salad was also rammed with salt!! Not reasonably priced with a piece of cheesecake being over £9. Would not recommend.
