"Have visited 'the fish ' regularly as a group. The service is always friendly and efficient. The menu changes regularly but the usual favourites are always on there. The portion sizes are generous, to put it mildly but everything is always served freshly cooked and piping hot. Several of our group opt for 2 starters rather than a large main course. We had booked for a large group for a lateish lunch whilst on a camping trip locally. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating when we turned up early because of the torrential rain. We were made very welcome and all really enjoyed the hospitality and food. The generous portions were extremely tasty, particularly the apple and cherry crumble. Thanks for looking after us! Food: 5

Quite Wednesday lunch but still a lovely friendly atmosphere. Really super food, we went traditional, steak and kidney pie with loads of fresh vegetables and quiche with salad. All homemade and utterly delicious, like my mum used to make. The menu is diverse and interesting for non meat eaters too. We couldn't make it to have pudding but we may just have to go back just to have them. Food: 5
