"If you drive to this pub make sure you pay for parking!! After popping in for a drink we will never return. It is not clear that you have to tell the pub you have parked to obtain free parking and no one in the pub asked. The atmosphere was great and staff friendly however going just over an hour we had a £100 fine!!! We tried to call the pub but they didn’t want anything to do with it and after sending evidence to the parking company they also stated we should have informed the pub. A very expensive drink with friends but what has disappointed me more is that both the pub and parking would not even entertain trying to help."

the Lord nelson has booked a table at a hotel in exeter. when I arrived, the place is very small, in the grunde a room, and there was only one other customer, sitting at the bar. We enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch to celebrate my son's birthday. The service was excellent, the wine was wonderful, and the roast was simply delicious. I had the vegetarian option, which was fantastic as well! It was all served next to a cozy wood burner, adding to the ambiance. We will definitely return to this restaurant!
