"PHENOMENAL, the best fish and chips and they’re even gluten free! Mind blowing, I mean I’ve travelled all around Devon/England scouting out the best fish and chip place and it was by far the the crunchiest, scrummiest, and most freshly caught fish I’ve had in my life. The chips were too good, so much flavour and crunch. The mushy peas were delectable, the mint really made them so special. Rocket the dog was such a sweetheart! The pub itself was nice and clean and well decorated. Overall great atmosphere, fabulous food, and stellar drinks, couldn’t recommend enough!"

on Sunday no lunch was served on lunch. a gin and ziderfestival was planned for the afternoon. the personal is very apologetic that an online booking was taken for Sunday dinner if no food is available.

the Lord nelson has booked a table at a hotel in exeter. when I arrived, the place is very small, in the grunde a room, and there was only one other customer, sitting at the bar. When a worker finally appeared, I asked for a menu, only to say no food available, no cook. Not the friendly place I was

The Lord Nelson is a wonderful local pub and venue! Rachel and the team recently hosted our wedding and they went above and beyond our expectations! They created a truly magical day! The service was friendly and the food was exceptional! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a venue, or even a nice drink!

Awesome pub, about time we left a review. Our favourite pub in the Exeter area. Just had Father's Day Roast with family. Great menu, well cooked with great beer and cocktails. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good outdoor space too with music sometimes. Definitely worth a train ride from Exeter as 2 minutes from the station.
