Only stopped in for a drink while in the area. Very busy lunch time, didn't eat but all the food looked fabulous and good selection on the menu. Very nice polite bar/waiting staff. I had an amazing experience booking a Christmas lunch at this restaurant. I arrived early for pre-drinks and was serenaded by locals singing carols, which created a fantastic atmosphere. The food was outstanding, the service was great, and I even had a lovely chat with the owners while waiting for a taxi. I highly recommend this place for lunch. We have visited this restaurant three times now, with groups ranging from 7 to 2 people. Each time, the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. The food is always excellent, especially the meat which is amazing. I love it so much that I now pay extra to have both the belly pork and beef because I can't choose between them! We highly recommend this place, as we wouldn't praise somewhere that couldn't consistently deliver. It's a charming country spot with delicious food and a warm atmosphere.

The restaurant had a nice appearance and the staff were all friendly. I ordered the sausage roll starter for £9, and was surprised when two small rolls arrived with salted rocket and a strange brown aioli. I initially thought I had walked into a Michelin-starred restaurant, but that was not the case. The fish finger sandwich that followed was more like typical pub food, although a bit greasy. The beer selection, however, was excellent, featuring Fullers London Pride and Grainstores Beast. This made up for the disappointing food.
