"booked two weeks in advance 18:30 to say on a Sunday, 5 of the main menu items were 'gone'. the crawl that followed was good, the dame that the 'there is no more food', why? because it was popular at midday could not have been less interested. there was no atmosphere and we were the last people there after an hour. if they are open for late lunch, they shouldn't say that."

Really great pub food! Nothing revolutionary, but really solid food, big portions and great service. View menu

Charming gastro pub a little east from the bustling life of center London, though nicely located between Angel and Holborn.

great sunday roaster we had recently! the service was just as excellent, it wasn't our first time and it won't be our last!

the place seems there were no ales out of the barrel and eating was good, but not exceptional as we expected from the other reviews View menu

Fantastic local pub with great Sunday roast. The Monday-Sunday menu is also excellent or just pop for a pint or two in a proper neighbourhood pub. The food, beer, service and space are all quality and no pretence.

we went to build for a sunday roast sauce. main course was ok, but not hot; kartoffels were hard. my pudding cream brulee was crowned and I didn't eat it. the personal was quite inconspicuous and it wasn't particularly busy. it is a shame that this was a very good pub and a meal earlier, and the building is magnificent.
