"Popped in for a last minute late lunch and, despite that the kitchen was about to close, we were made so welcome and they arrange for us to sit in the shade as we had our Mountain dog with us. Ordered some toasted sandwiches and cheesy chips and it was absolutely delicious! The kitchen team delivered our food to the table with the greatest smile. Both landlord and landlady were so lovely and friendly and so was grandad! Will most definitely be our first choice for our next lunch on the Island. This pub is everything a great British pub should be. Thank you"

"We have dined here a few times due to a previous pleasant experience hence thought we’d eat here again but, on this occasion, the service and hospitality was extremely disappointing. Our dining experience wasn’t the same perhaps due to new management Jacey’s used to be called The Queen Phillippa. When we arrived, first of all, the restaurant was empty. We ordered food after which another couple arrived. The waitress, upon observation, was extremely attentive towards the couple sat next to us having cleared their plates from the table as soon as they had finished their starter and main courses. She completely bypassed us, nor did she clear our plates until we asked for the bill. Two additional members of staff, furthermore, checked in on the same table, asking if they were ok and, once again, completely ignored us. A group of males also arrived, were seated and checked on regularly. Why not treat every table the same? Isn’t that true customer service? I’m not one to use the race card but if you’re a person of colour beware of this place now that it’s under new management #justsaying #callingyouout"

"I placed a large order with this Chinese takeout for a family celebration. Over an hour after the estimated delivery time, I contacted the restaurant for an update. I was then informed that the food had been delivered to the wrong address. The manager I spoke with on the phone said the driver had delivered to the wrong address and did not follow the delivery instructions which stated "please call when you are outside." The manager then informed me that due to the driver's error, he would replace the food and send the driver out immediately with a fresh order, which would take 20 minutes. Shortly after this phone call, I was told to cancel the order as they had already given the food out and would not be cooking it again despite the error being on their part. Moments later, I received a text saying the order was cancelled. This was over 2 hours since I originally placed my order. The manager was rude and dismissive over the phone, displaying poor customer service skills. He did not offer an apology or make any effort to correct the mistake. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received."
