"The Singing Kettle used to be a charming spot for food, especially cream teas. I have fond memories of visiting with my mum and Nan years ago, as well as more recently with my partner and son. However, it's no longer the same. What was once a lively part of the community is now lacking in character and is quite expensive. The restaurant often isn't open when it's supposed to be, which has led to many people being disappointed. The lack of consistency and planning behind the scenes may sadly result in the closure of this longtime establishment. It would be wonderful to see The Singing Kettle restored to its former glory and continue to be a beloved spot in town."

This was a sweet little place with only a few tables but as it was quiet we were lucky to get one. We only wanted a snack so ordered a cheese scone which was delicious, when it eventually arrived. Staff were really lovely but service was a little slow. In future, I will always ask for my drink to be brought with my food. Lesson learned. Big plus, the dog was allowed in. Food: 5 View menu

I had an amazing time at the Singing Kettle! A few years ago, I visited for coffee and tea, and enjoyed it immensely. The back garden is a beautiful spot to relax. This time, we tried the food and it did not disappoint. The burger was one of the most delicious and juicy I have ever had. My partner loved the tuna mayo jacket potato, and the scones were delightful. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff. We will definitely be back next time we are in Devon.

The atmosphere at Interia was welcoming and clean, with a polite greeting upon our arrival. The tea service was impressive, served in a beautiful matching china set. The Ham, Egg, and Chips dish was decent, although the chips were a little overdone. The Ploughman's platter was missing pickles, like pickled onions or gherkins, and the two slices of packaged ham felt lackluster for a traditional Ploughman's meal. The service was satisfactory. This review is based on a lunchtime dining experience.
