This charming pub on a peaceful street is managed by a welcoming staff. I enjoyed the veggie burger and my wife had the fish and chips, both of which were delicious and affordable. We definitely plan on returning!

Went here today for lunch and it was so good. This is a beautiful venue, inside and out and the food was delicious. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Would really recommend this place and their veg coconut curry.

So glad we found this little gem. On arrival the greeting was warm and friendly, we sat outside and it’s a lovely atmosphere. Service was great and the food was amazing. We had the breakfast each and every element was cooked perfectly. The coffee was lovely and I’m very fussy with coffee! Would really recommend and I wish we weren’t a 4 hour drive away!

I found the pub to be charming and the staff friendly. However, I was disappointed by the high prices of the food. I don't mind paying £20 for a good roast dinner, but the one we had was lackluster and tasted like a microwavable meal from the store. The portion size was also small, and my companion and I were still hungry after spending £40. Overall, we were very disappointed.

Lunch at the Sun today was a very enjoyable experience. Both the lamb slow roasted pork belly were delicious. Plenty of vegetables and a very rich gravy. there was not scrap on any of our plates at the end of the meal. This was followed by an utterly scrumptious sticky toffee pudding. Just had a family Sunday Roast at the Sun Cafe Bar. Exceptional. I had the beef, which was amazing. 2 of us had the Lamb (had a small taste of that and it was also very good) and 1 had Turkey. Didn't get a go at the Turkey, so it must have been good! Cheesy Leek was lovely, and the Roast potatoes rather special. Couldn't eat all the veg, but it was nice and crunchy. We also had the Sticky Toffee pudding to cap it all wonderfully light sponge and a delightful Dark Treacle sauce. Service great and the food was served quickly. Highly recommended and we will be back........

Dinner was so good that we went twice in the week that we were visiting. The first night we had the small plates and shared. Even though they are small plates, there is plenty of food. The variety of food and flavors was great. The curry was exceptional. The second time we went we had individual meals that were amazing. They have some very interesting and delicious cocktails as well.We ate outside which has a very nice atmosphere but the inside is just as lovely. We thought the price point was very reasonable- quite inexpensive for the amount and quality. This is a real gem and we highly recommend it.

I do not normally bother writing reviews but after our visit last Sunday I thought it was needed. Food We visited for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed! Good portions, really tasty, fresh and crispy roast potatoes. Roast chicken £15 , beef £16 and lamb £17. We also had a side of cauliflower cheese I think that was £5 Was fresh and homemade. I feel it was really good value for our money and will return. Had a nice selection of homemade desserts and cakes. We had a brownie this too was delicious. Drinks Good selection of spirits, beers etc. Lovely defo and beautiful beer garden. We was honestly very pleasantly surprised and will return again soon. View menu
