"The reason for the less than positive review is due to some different factors. The food in the main was ok, reasonable value. However, on the 4. January the management by e-mail relies to address some points where I felt a little disappointed, but especially accused for a "cream ' jug size extra engraving. Without living on the food itself, the food service was very slow, although the staff was overall friendly. The main area of concern, saw a waiter between courses, loitering, with a pencil hanging out his nostril, which he then went into his ear to put. Obviously he would have worked the pencil, then go to the customers with drinks, meals etc. to serve. All these points were addressed in e-mail, I received an answer on 5. January promising to investigate the questions I raised and back to me, "until mid week". Despite two more emails to ask if it was about I have not yet received another answer (5 Feb) As things stand at the moment, I wouldn't return to dinner there. It is positive that I was in the facility for the first time in 20 years and the renovation is very enjoyable."

Starters tasty. Pate bruchetta. Main meal wow. Mixed grill and risotto fabulous, good portion well presented tasty Dessert awful. Cheesecake very chalky tasteless. Cheese on cheese board dry and crusty. Very cold in building eating with coat on Service polite but had to ask twice for water.

We enjoyed ourselves very much just a couple of comments about the hanging skewers main courses they look great but the stuff hanging on the skewer goes cold really quickly, and new poatatoes are an odd accompaniment. Otherwise it was great and good for our coeliac guest, who was able to find a nice meal that worked for her

Excellent refurbishment, but a few things are letting it down. i.e. toilet roll holders in the ladies o/o/o. Black tape on the hand rail into the building. Coffee machine was not working. I would not want to sit in a booth again as the table was too high/seat too low. But having said all that the food was excellent and we will definitely be returning.

Slow start as had to wait for our drinks to be brought to our table. However food was excellent, both starter and main courses and this was served very promptly too. A good choice of dishes on the menu to choose from and a lovely restuarant to eat in for my birthday, would definitely come back here again as overall had a very good meal in nice surroundings.

Had not visited The Tal Y Cafn before , but as it was on our route to visit the theatre in Llandudno we decided to book a table for three before the show. On arrival we parked in the large carpark at the rear and were welcomed by the staff. The dining area is spacious and cosy. We ordered a main meal and sweet which was delicious, everything cooked to perfection. By the time we were ready to leave the place was very busy and that was early evening which suggests it has a good a good reputation. We certainly will be calling again.

We booked a table for 4 last Saturday. As soon as we arrived the waitress took us to our table. Drinks ordered and menu given. Excellent choice to suit all tastes. The starter and mains were excellent-the beef on the skewer melts in your mouth- delicious. The portions are also generous and although we we're tempted to have a dessert my husband had the choice of a selection oflocally made ice cream- the rest of us where too full! Staff excellent and it's also a bonus to have welsh speakers and a bi- lingual menu. We wish the new owner/ manager all the best.
