"the reason for the less than positive review is due to some different factors. eating in the head was okay, more reasonable. However, on the 4th januar I sent the management by e-mail to address a few points that I felt a little disappointed, especially for a 'cream' jug size of extra gravity to be charged. without living on the food itself, the service was very slow, although the overall staff was friendly. the main area of care, saw a waiter between the curses, loitering, with a pencil out of his nasen hole, which he then put into his ear. obviously he would have worked the pencil, then they go to the customers with drinks, meals etc. all these points were addressed in e-mail, I received an answer on the 5th januar, which promised to investigate the themes that I addressed and back to me, "until the week'. Despite two other emails, to ask if the things had been checked, I did not receive any further answer (5 feb) so since the dinge were standing at the moment, I would not return there. on positive wise it is the first time that I was in the facility in 20 years and the sanation is very pleasing."

I would recommend because they have made the attempt to offer veggie, vegan and gluten free menus. My main criticism would be the vegan options aren’t great and the only dessert is sorbet.

Had an amazing weekend staying at this delightful pub. Nothing was too much trouble with attentive, friendly staff. Food is amazing with lovely eating areas inside and out. Would highly recommend a stay and food/drinks x

Stopped for lunch and despite being a group of 20 of us in ten cars. There was plenty of space to park and we were all served excellent food in a quick efficient fashion. All with a friendly and welcoming manner. Well worth stopping! View menu

Didn't eat there, just sat outside and had a drink. Seats were very comfortable and the owner's (think she was) dog did some clever tricks, cute. Car park is spacious and right next to the pub. It's just been renovated and looks really nice.

Amazing food! Lovely and friendly staff. Went here twice in a row. Only problem with the first visit was the slow service, especially as they werent busy at all, but this was made up for on the second day we went when the service was loads better. Would 100% go again.

amazing eating, great cocktails, and all served by the nicest contributors of all time! even the locals had time for us and were fantastic to chat and a beer with. the snowdonia suite with a whirlpool was impeccable. it is one of the most beautiful places in which we have stayed! View menu

beautiful building, gorgeous reviews areas and bar. very dog friendly, the personal brought us a MASSIVE bowl water for my two retrievals and it is the first place we ate that did this. beautiful, friendly staff who were always enthusiastic chat on a positive way to ensure that we were happy and had everything we needed. delicious food and not too large portions (we had dinner on Sunday night) so we had only enough space for pudding! absolutely breathtaking place to visit!

"Whenever I get the inclination to write a review it’s usually because it’s so good and I want to shout about my experience to everyone… however this is not my usual 5* recommendation! As locals we have visited this cafe on a few occasions for breakfast or a coffee stop. It’s a great location, nice decor, dog friendly and delicious food. What’s not to like? Well, the staff, or more specifically the owner! She lacks any customer service skills, she smiles through gritted teeth, orders her staff around while she stands observing (or waiting for an argument . Each time we’ve visited she’s had an issue with something. Once she argued with me because I asked for my latte to be served in a cup rather than a tall glass. She proceeded to try and educate me on coffee making (I’m barista trained ! She reluctantly gave me it to me in a mug with a jug of extra milk which wouldn’t fit into the mug anyway! More recently we arrived, it was quiet, and chose to sit in the window (the largest table as we had our dog and didn’t want him to be in the way. She rushed over and demanded we sat at another table because she “couldn’t afford for us to take up a larger table”. We moved without an issue but she was very confrontational (as always and made the rest of our dining experience uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that despite being ravenous we almost didn’t order. The cafe remained quiet throughout our time there, plenty of empty tables and yet she proceeded to use the larger window table to accommodate her staff, herself and a friend who popped in. How is that fair? So my advice to you as a fellow catering/ hospitality manager is… Learn from your Trip Advisor feedback, Book yourself on a free customer service course and lead by example and if you are worried about costs reduce the number of staff. 5 staff on duty in a cafe that seats approx 25 people at full capacity is not needed. Maybe the owner should put her feet up at home and let the lovely younger people do their thing. They all look so nervous around her and are almost too afraid to speak. I’m sure they’d do a far better job without her monitoring their every move. Even the Chef (her husband maybe? looks petrified of her!! Certain people are not cut out for customer facing roles and she is one of them! I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read any of these reviews as she’s been like this since my first visit 5 years ago!! What a shame. This place could be a thriving business and a welcoming village cafe but I’m sure her confrontational attitude and unwelcoming nature put people off from returning. Such a shame as the food and coffee are delightful"
