"After many previous good lunches over several years at the White Hart, Nettlebed we were very disappointed on our last visit. The ambience was still good but standards have really dropped! Four of us arrived for a pre-booked lunch at Noon. There were very few other diners present throughout our visit. Orders were quickly taken for a hot sandwich lunch and drinks but it was 55 minutes before any food arrived and when it did the quality was poor. Bread was hard, toasted slices were burned and the fillings were cold (including hard over-cooked strips of steak). The soup was excessively salty (one person had stomach ache after eating it). Some drinks ordered were never ever brought to us and one diner (with coeliac) was served with a gluten-free sandwich with a filling containing gluten. The simple coffee order was mixed up and the wrong coffees were brought. All very amateurish and extremely disappointed. Prices have also increased. Sadly, we will not be returning in a hurry."

This restaurant offers excellent value with delicious food, attentive service, and overall great value. I highly recommend it over the nearby Cherry Tree in Stoke Row.

Spent an evening with friends sitting outside. Good menu choices. Friendly service. Three of us had the fish special which was very tasty. Very nice outside decking area. Relaxed and friendly inside too.

Absolutely recommend The White Hart, Nettlebed. Nothing was too much trouble for this amazing team. The waitress assigned to our table was very attentive, patient and extremely friendly. Loved the way you were not rushed at all.

Been to their sister restaurant in Playhatch and thought we would give this one a try....looks like the same menu. Made to feel welcome and quickly seated and order taken...Mrs H...pie of the day with chunky chips....chicken and gammon, very good; me two starters Scotch egg and calamari ....both good. Food hot and nicely presented As good as Playhatch.....spoilt for choice View menu

Great food, good service and a lovely setting. Dinner at the White Hart was a pleasure we were visiting the area and were attracted by the South African flavour and arrived without a reservation and were graciously accommodated. The dinner was excellent a good spread of surf and turf and some great SA wines thrown in for good measure. If we are ever back in the area we will most certainly go back. Recommended.

Came with a group of 8 friends. It was a Tuesday evening and they accommodated us easily enough. Good choice of food on the menu. As a starter I had the bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. Unfortunately, the balsamic used, didn’t soak up into 5he bread with the olive oil. As a main, I had the sea bass which was very good. The others in the group also seemed pleased with their main courses. Staff were both helpful and efficient. Food and drink was reasonably priced. Would happily go there again

The roast at this restaurant is amazing and the staff are incredibly friendly. It's a charming and family-friendly pub with a lovely dog. We visited on a late Sunday afternoon with our daughter and furry friend and were delighted to find a table available. The food tasted just like a homemade roast, with the beef and turkey being particularly delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and the service was excellent. We will definitely be making this our go-to spot for Sunday roasts. Highly recommended. View menu

Unfortunately, our recent experience was disappointing. We booked a Christmas lunch for about twelve people, only to find out that there was no Christmas menu available. This was partly our mistake for not checking beforehand, but the service we received was incredibly poor. Three young girls were serving us and there was no sign of any management presence. It seems that the recent takeover of another pub in Playhatch has had a negative impact on this restaurant. The unanimous decision among our group was that we will not be returning.

The rack of ribs our two sons had was very tastefull, certainly recommended for those who like ribs. The misses had a Vincent Van Goat, which tasted very good and was to her standards of sufficiënt quantity, but would have left me hungry. So I was happy I chose the swordfish, because that really appeared to be an excellent choice. Desserts looked good, but we were satisfied with our main dish, so we skipped. It's a pitty they don't do the Eton Mess as a dessert anymore. I had it last year, and that was really great. To be honest: I was a little dissapointed they threw it of the menu. Great sitting, nice place, varied choise of beers. Very tidy place also, from top to bottom, and very polite...
