"I would rate this restaurant 4.9 stars. It was a pleasure to see a professional waiter and enjoy high-quality food. We shared a dessert and were reminded to ask for two spoons. We ordered three courses, and the soup was delicious, while the lamb was beautifully tender. The fresh green vegetables were lovely, too. The only issue was that the food cooled down quickly, which is a common problem. Perhaps using hot plates could help with that. The dessert was just what we needed to finish the meal. For me, it was a fantastic Sunday, and the Sunday dinner was truly satisfying."

Had a lovely meal. Lamb melted in your mouth. Very comfortable with friendly staff. Inside is bigger and a lot nicer than it looks from outside. Would definitely return if around there again.

Undoubtedly, the best pub food you can have! The chefs take something to another level. Brilliant service and dog friendly too. Make sure you don't miss the Cheesy chips, trust me! Will definitely return to check the Sunday dinners.

We’ve been here twice in the last month and both meals have been the best we’ve had in years. The food, though not the cheapest is worth every penny. Having said that there are value options, and they looked amazing. We couldn’t recommend this place any more. View menu

Just had a fantastic lunch at the Travellers Rest. The quality of food is excellent, definitely a gastro pub. The beer is good and the staff very polite and helpful. The set menu is fantastic value for the standard of food. All in all a great place to eat or just pop in for a drink or two

Without a doubt, this place serves the best pub food around! The chefs elevate the dining experience to another level. The service is excellent, and they are dog-friendly as well. You absolutely have to try the cheesy chips—trust me on this! I will definitely return to enjoy the Sunday roast.

Our main meals lasted longer than I am used to, but not a worthy complaint, and my mother always told me that this could be a good thing as they make your food fresh, not warm up something. I visited the restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night and opted for a delightful low-fat fish and vegetable dish. It was incredibly fresh and delicious. Another diner ordered the cake and springblade beef, and they both enjoyed their meals as well. The portion sizes were just right—not too much and not too little. While it was a bit pricey, which seems to be common everywhere these days, the service was excellent, with friendly staff and a reasonable wait time for our food. Overall, I left satisfied and would definitely return.
