"Sunday 6pm service slow...had to keep waving for service....when we sat down we asked if the Tiramasu was available as we had a guest coming that was having ONLY that .....we were told it was available but when we ordered it were told it was still setting and not ready for another hour ! We were offered it on the house later but we had theatre tickets so that was that. Great food otherwise as usual....just need more staff or staff who are a bit more attentive at the table. There was a great big labrador shaking and licking itsself in the booth area near the kitchen which was a bit off putting..it wasnt a disability dog as far as we could make out. If you dont mind dog hair floating about while you eat then this wont bother you. Love the food here and this was the first below expectations visit at this venue in 12 visits"

Excellent pizza and pasta in a friendly and unrushed environment. Would definitely go back.

Nice restaurant and good pizza, staff accommodated our slow decision skills. The only downside is that clothes do smell of food when home :

A really good find in and amongst all the usual high street chains (it is part of a smaller group which features different menus according to location). Great for a family with teenagers. View menu

Great restaurant in the heart of Canterbury just steps from the Cathedral. The staff were delightful and food really delicious. We went with a group that had very high expectations and everyone was really pleased!

Great pizza spot in the city! Staff are very friendly and helpful when ordering. Vegan option includes Giardiniera (tomato, mushrooms, artichoke, wild broccoli, vegan mozzarella, olives basil) or you can substitute vegan mozzarella for other pizzas.

We had the funghi (mushroom potato and the zucca (pumpkin, kale walnut pizzas with the vegan cheese. Just the right amount of cheese and one of the best vegan cheeses we’ve had at a restaurant. 2 for 1 pizzas on Mondays for students and all cocktails are £5 from 5 until 7 (I think? on weekdays! Had a really lovely meal at Chapter, the pizza was absolutely delicious actually one of the best I have ever had, it was a lovely place to be and the service was great and really attentive. I highly recommend Chapter just be prepared to smell strongly of cooking when you leave totally worth it though for such great food!

We’ve been to Chapter several times before and it’s always been great. Service was very good and the pizza was fine but the Melanzane Parmigiana was really unpleasant compared to previous visits. We’d been raving about how good it was so the lady whose birthday it was had ordered it on our recommendation. The aubergine tasted hard and quite uncooked. Normally it’s wonderfully fried and full of flavour. There was a party in the room above and they were extremely loud and stamping their feet. It’s such a shame as we’ve had such great times previously.

"After never visiting Canterbury before we where looking for somewhere to have a late lunch, we came across this place which looked ok, upon entering the back room we were offered to take a seat in the front area and someone will be with us. We asked what food there was and we where sarcastically shown the food on the blackboard, after choosing what we wanted the polite man went off and put the order in. We did feel that because the man had asked a couple of questions to another member of staff that he was spoke down too a bit. Anyway after placing the order and what we wanted the food came out it wasn’t correct but because it seemed like we were going to interrupt the people in the back room we just took what we had. It was nice food though. When we went to pay we hadn’t noticed that there wasn’t a price list so when we asked for the bill we were told that it was donation, what we thought was enough, it wasn’t posted anywhere and it took us by surprise as we where standing at the till, I was going to pay in cash but was told they don’t take cash so I had to give my donation in card by telling the person how much we where donating. After plucking a figure out of air as we wasn’t prepared we paid and left. Upon leaving we felt that the person we paid thought we hadn’t paid enough and wasn’t happy with the amount but after working out what we would have paid properly we worked out that we had paid more than what it might have been if there was a proper price on everything. Overall it has a great ethos and it’s great for giving people the experience that they need to be in a working environment but they need to show the price or tell customers first that it’s donations and card only."
