AN AMAZING , FRIENDLY PLACE, CHILLED , NO COMPLAINTS, THE BURGER IS LUSH , THE STAFF JUST CANNOT HELP ENOUGH THANKYOU PIP AND JAY YOUR REGS IN THE FRIENDS SOFA

Love coming here to brunch every time we’re in Lewis for our friends and family catch ups the place has really changed its dynamic since we last visited about eight months ago…it was good before but now it’s superb would highly recommend a visit : see you again at Christmas time.

The service was slow. When food did arrive the order wrong. Halloumi fries (3 for £6! were cold and burger looked like it was leather with a teaspoon of coleslaw on the side. The sausage breakfast muffin was not nice. Portions are smaller and more expensive than our last visit. Won’t be rushing back. View menu

The place was not very organised and did not have any good stuff on the menu. They only had 1 pasta (spaghetti carbonara) and that was all run out. They also has small straws that would sink in to my drink. They staff were alright. Overall this place wasn’t the best because al the stuff on the menu run out and they are better restaurants in Lewis.

A year later... the same issues are still present. What has improved since my last review? The sausage quality is much better... and that's about it. More of the same... eggs were overcooked again, the service was excruciatingly slow again, and they persist with a clunky QR code ordering system that even asks you tip before you've received any form of service. Even worse than last time, serving drinks in chipped crockery and the dogs. I am a fan of dogs, but I don't wish them to be sniffing round my table whilst eating breakfast or barking for the duration of my visit, sure this is more on the owner than Fuego, but perhaps reconsider where dogs are allowed in what is a restaurant.

After a lovely 5 mile walk decided to visit a firm favourite for a late lunch. OMG, really wish we hadn’t bothered. Change of staff and the new are useless. The server admitted he ordered my meal wrong. No apology just a 20 minute wait. In this time my husband had almost finished his meal. When I complained, I was told by said server that he cannot be criticised and won’t have it. He had previously admitted it was his fault as he was on his phone. Manager arrives. Still no apology but the offer of another glass of wine. If we wanted more we would have ordered a bottle. Very disappointed, they are not cheap but very adverse to any critical words. I understand Sundays are busy. When we got here, they were only had a few tables left. We waited to be seated. Some scruffy guy came and pointed to a table. Walked off. Didn’t say anything. Couldn’t work out who worked here. Had to find the kids menu and get the crayons myself. The online order wasn’t explained. And didn’t work well. Finally got some drinks. Dirty tea cup, asked for a clean one waited 20 minutes (our food came was delicious but small) ate my food. Still no clean cup. Cold tea. Went and asked what’s going on. Was give a cup and said a new tea would be brought over. Never happened. I do not Understand how self-service restaurant you can ask for tip. I can see about 6/8 people...

We arrived, having booked our table, sat browsing the menu awaiting the arrival of our last guest. After we had been there 5 minutes the power was lost. We approached a member of staff at the bar and asked if we were able to grab the drinks we had ordered and were told that was not possible due to no tills. I accepted this and asked if we could have a jug of water for the table until we knew if the power would be back on and was met with a response that the customer needs were not a priority at present as they all had to work on getting the power back on. Have been here a few times for drinks and tapas before and after the cinema. Popped in Saturday night after the cinema, we both thought how quiet it was normally got a nice buzz to the place, but dead a few tables but not like a Saturday night. Ordered I pint Moretti beer and a cocktail, partner said beer tasted weird and my cocktail tasted like a pre mix very syrupy and not nice it’s my fav so I know how it should taste. Ordered tapas for me which consisted of a very small dollop of hummus with 3 triangles of dried pitta bread, 3 very small arancini balls and 4 very small hard and dry chicken wings smallest wings I’ve ever seen.
