"We had some lovely food in Juan Les Pins, Nice and Avignon while there this weekend past but felt compelled to warn about this place. We rocked up after the wife decided she didn't see anything on the Paradis menu she wanted. What a mistake.Seems to be a couple running the joint and the lady is poilte enough. Prices seem reasonable on the face of it.Ordered a Royal plate which was nice enough although expected a bit more for a sharing plate. Then the mains...a crispy duck that was just sliced duck and garnish, nothing crispy about it.spicy calamari which were well cooked but no spice just a bland tomato saucechicken noodles which again were very blandand rice. No wait, the rice never arrived and when I mentioned it somehow I was to blame for not remembering to ask where it was.In addition to this there was an illegal Europa League computer feed in the corner of the room showing Monaco v Spurs, and the owners children were in the restaurant, one of whom had a chesty cough, and to cap this off the local staggerring drunk came in and was given a drink at the bar.I would not eat here. Ever."

Very good food, food was prepared while we were waiting, i.e. it was fresh. Relaxed atmosphere, a genuine family-operated restaurant.

We came on Sunday (2 adults, 2 children). We ordered the menus, and we chose the nems, gyoscas, chicken with curry, chicken with some honey sauce and shrimps with a spicy sauce and everything was delicious (we've been living in Juan Les pins for 10 years and this is by far the best oriental restaurant we've been). It's close to the pynede park, just in front of the congress building.

Very welcoming and lovely chef and host. While the setting is not particularly lavish and away from the main drag the food was fantastic. Happy to be flexible and allowed us to try a smaller portion of frogs legs, which were surprisingly very nice!Couldn't fault Le Congres and encourage you to try it, particularly if you want a break from the overpriced restaurants bunched together. disorganised what damageca smells the good small local restaurant with homemade products. an honest house that does not hesitate to refuse the world rather than disappoint. However, a little organization would serve better, more, and faster. The beer was empty! desserts make them by the waitress also the invoices. see a cook in the oven and mill which waste. It's a cold dish. No dessert more time.

This Vietnamese restaurant (which also does takeaway) is fabulous. It's fairly basic (like you are in downtown Hanoi) but the owners are lovely, the food better than any Asian restaurant I know in S France or London. It's not as swish as Pousse-Pousse (or a Nobu) but the food is amazing and I prefer it! Best spring rolls and dim sum ever. Great sushi. Unbelievable Vietnamese prawns. I can't believe this restaurant in a great spot opposite the Congrès is not higher in the league tables. Great place for casual spicy dinner or they can do good takeaway. Particularly if you are hitting the JLP nightlife for a drink after. Go there and try the food and meet the lovely owners.

"In this location, surrounded as it is with large restaurants spilling out onto the pavement with their me-too menus of les pizzas and pâtes and overly familiar sounding meals, it is most unexpected to find a bespoke and personal restaurant offering a fine selection of dishes cooked with care. The menu, described appropriately as the 'carte du moment' presents a mercifully small number of seasonal and therefore changing entrées, plats and desserts. However, it is still hard to choose. Each one is enticing, interesting and original with the promise of flavours, combinations of ingredients and textures, without tricks and unnecessary embellishment. For a large number, a selection of all the entrées as share dishes makes a lot of sense. Everyone gets a taste of something and the difficulty of having to choose is avoided. For the plats, a single selection is best with pork, duck, tuna and salmon along with risotto as options on the night we were there. A fine burger also available is perhaps a concession to the location and, actually, a very fine dish. Four desserts are offered with each one tempting and beautifully prepared. Another selection for the table is highly recommended. The wine list is adequate and the ambiance works for lone dining as well as for a larger and more raucous group. The service is smiling and efficient as well as courteous. This is a place to make a favourite. The risk to this reviewer is that it will become deservedly highly popular and impossible for last minute bookings."
