"Just average. Whatever you do don't look up in the back room.....the cobwebs on the orangerie roof are shocking!!! Hope nothing falls to tables below. Sautéed new potatoes looked like yesterday's new potatoes but not crispy, just soggy and greasy and way over cooked so dark inside the potato. Hmmm. Green salad disappointing with basically just brown lettuce. Won't be back. No atmosphere and male waiter was super miserable despite me trying to smile at him and standing aside while he barreled past me with no thanks."

The service was great and the stuff, we had oysters and they were amazing. Only disappointment was my lobster, it was as tuff as a leather boot

Went for lunch on Sunday, overall experience poor. Limited choices, no oysters or lobster or crab. Had the mixed grill, very overcooked, mushy and bland. If this is the standard now I can see why the group seems to be shedding restaurants.

"I booked way ahead to celebrate our 18 year anniversary. I told them I needed a gluten free diet. The day before we were due to dine I received a call saying they had had a meeting with environmental health and they were no longer allowed to call their food gluten free, it was now low gluten due to the risk of cross contamination in their small kitchen. Having eaten at the Chefs Table there twice before I said I was happy and had never been poorly after previous visits. So the next day we went for our celebration meal only what I didn’t realise was that when they give you gluten free they take out everything not just the gluten. My bread came with oil, my husband had beautiful butters. When my husband had octopus I got a pepper and when he had turbot I got a mushroom. I’M NOT A VEGAN!!!!! I wasn’t happy at all. The waiter said he was sorry I was disappointed and that next time they would try to accommodate a variation of the menu for me. Even when the dessert came the waiter proudly told my mind was “veganised”. I could have cried. And as for the wine flight, what a waste of money! The wine was slopped in, one of us would get 1cm of wine, the other one would get 3 cm. The sommelier seemed to think that was pretty amusing. We should have just bought 2 bottles of wine. It was ridiculous. There was nothing about the evening that would make me want to go back. This was over £650 for two of us. It should have been phenomenal. It’s my last visit to Paris House."
