"It was a cold evening and perhaps a bit too late to venture to the Restaurant Michelangelo, but we did in hopes of getting in without a reservation. The staff greeted us nicely and perhaps felt a bit of compassion toward us. We were the...last ones in the door that night and were seated immediately. They have full menu as well as specialty items that change. Our meals could not have been better. We have dined through out Europe and in many areas in the USA and Canada. Restaurant Michelangelo has to rank among the best. Authentic, tasty, and hearty or light, it was Italian at its best. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Fine selections, fine service, fine dining and affordably priced. Too many great selections to choose from. Indeed a few of the guests commented that they had dined there 2 or three times during their stay in Rothenburg. I for one can see why. You could dine there daily and not run out of special treats from the appetizers to the main courses and desserts and not exhaust the excellent choices. If you are in the area of Rothenburg I cannot recommend Restaurant Michelangelo more highly. Its on my top dining list."

Amazing Food and Service! We sat outside beside the wall of the city and were truly impressed! I had pork filets with green pepper, served with tagliatelle pea mint sauce! I could go back tomorrow and have the same meal and would be very happy!...The staff was excellent as well! Definitely going back every time I visit!!

Highly recommend reservations! We stopped by about 2pm and made a dinner reservation just to be safe. I'm very glad that we did because when we returned at 6pm they were very busy and stayed that way the whole 2 hours we were there....Dinner was very good. I had the salmon lasagna quite delightful. My husband had a ravioli (I can't remember which one.. that he said was incredible! We managed to save room for dessert....chocolate soufflé and crème Brule. Delightful! Definitely a great place to eat!
