"From the moment you enter O’SARACINO, located in the quaint Potton market square you are greeted by the friendliest of staff. Once upstairs in the restaurant itself the warm welcomes continue. Here the look is all exposed wooden beams and split level floors and was busy on the night I visited with a good friend. The staff were super efficient; the gap between taking drinks orders and serving the meal was perfectly timed. The food was delicious; the ambience, lighting and background music all blended seamlessly to make this a wonderful eating out experience. One of the staff members, a delightfully cheerful young lady named Gioconda, even went to the trouble of locating a particular song track I had enquired about and returned to our table with all the details written down for me! Thank you Gioconda and all the staff of this exquisite and authentic Italian restaurant. If you are visiting Potton….do yourself a big favour and don’t leave before treating yourself out to a very special dining experience. Many many thanks to everyone at O’SARACINO. Nick and Gary"

The experience was incredible! The ambiance was beautiful, and the staff were warm and attentive. The food and wine were both delightful. The chef's seafood special of the day was simply divine. I will definitely be back!

Went for my birthday. Lovely food, felt a bit squeezed in and next to a big group which understandably wanted to chat .... at 100dBA! I'm oldish and hearing conversations in a noisy atmosphere has become a tad difficult. This won't stop me retuning as the food was authentic and delicious... I'll just ask for a table away from any large groups.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the prices for the food are incredibly reasonable. However, although the service started off well, it became very slow towards the end. We waited about 35 minutes for our bill, which never arrived. Eventually, we had to go to the bar and explain where our table was to get it. Overall, the experience is worth it, but the service could use some improvement. View menu

We decided to give this restaurant a try after hearing great reviews, and I'm so glad we did! The staff was incredibly friendly and provided helpful explanations about the dishes. It was difficult to choose, as everything sounded so delicious! They recommended a delightful wine that was very easy to enjoy. The food was served hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant, and I will definitely return to try more of their offerings.

I haven 't had the pleasure of trying this place out yet, but I was just eyeing their menu, and boy, did I stumble upon something curious: The Linguine allo Scoglio! comes with a price tag of £21.95. But hold on a second – there 's a 50% discount available on Tuesday nights or a lunchtime offer... with a little footnote: Please note a £7.50 supplement applies if ordered using 50% off on a Tuesday night or the lunchtime offer Now, let 's crunch some numbers... £21.95 50% equals £10.97. Add that £7.50 supplement, and voila! You 're looking at £18.47, which essentially means the 50% discount on a Tuesday night or during lunchtime is more like a 16% discount. A tasty saving of £3.48 on your ling...

"As you'll see from my review history, I very very rarely post a bad review except in exceptional circumstances. This was one of these. I was expecting a lovely three course meal in a cosy pub out of London, based on the reviews. We were looking for a bit of a treat, as I was catching up with an old colleague (of a charity we both worked for) and her partner (CEO of a Mental Health charity). However I was severely dissappinted and appalled at how they treated us. The barman was gracious on arrival but the waitress who served us (couldn't have been much over 16) was absolutely clueless and seemed to not care about her job or the customers under her service. She was clueless about the menu when queried and kept having to nip off to the kitchen to ask, whilst giving us strange looks for having questions about the food/ breads/ menu. We felt judged, immediatly. When the food finally arrived we had ordered a sharing Camembert. The camembert was delicious but the bread it came with was burnt, unevenly sliced and looked, quite simply, like it was from the bottom of the barrel. Why the chef thought that exceptable to serve I have no idea. Not a good start. Next I had a vegetarian main (curry with cauliflower rice), from a very limited veggie menu. Quite frankly, it was bland. I make much better at home. When chased, the service was rude and the landlady/ manager was abrupt with us for having some issues, despite us being warm and kind to her always giving the pub the benefit of the doubt. I was not even offered a dessert menu. Finally, the ambience was soul sucking. It was quiet and joyless, like eating in an old folks home. In fact some people near us got told to quieten down, despite it being early on a Saturday evening. Just such a shame that the staff and food don't live up to the hype. Genuinely would not recommend this place to anyone. Not worth your time, energy. Vegetarian options: Poor. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"
