"After trying to book online a week ago for tonight, your restaurant showed no availability between 17.15 21.15, which seemed a bit strange being a random Wednesday! I called the restaurant and asked to book for 19.30 for three people and was advised this was absolutely...fine, took my name and number to confirm, and booked successfully. We headed to the restaurant and experienced an incredibly disappointing visit. We were shown to a table upstairs, wouldn’t have been my first choice for an 80 year old guest, but my mum is game, so up we climbed. Once seated, the waiter left us to decide on drinks and food, then returned to take our order. I selected the Crispy Halloumi hanging kebabs (it’s what their famous for? and was told straight they didn’t have any, they had “just sold the last one” (at 7.30pm? . Never mind I returned to look at the menu as Ma ordered Fish and Chips. Again, the reply was brief “Sorry, we don’t have that” Not overly impressed by much here, so we said our goodbyes and left. Would not recommend."

"Went to Bloom this afternoon for a Bottomless Brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The restaurant has a lovely feel and the service was friendly. However, we had to ask to order our food as no one came over and the dishes were brought out at a time between of us with mins in between so the dishes went cold while we waited for more. We ordered chips and had to ask for them again as they started to take our plates away and they hadn't arrived. We realised once we'd paid the bill that the cauliflower dish we ordered didn't arrive. It's a real shame as the food was very tasty but the service could've been much better."

"We had recently visited Bill 's in Reading and I said in my review, I shall return! . We had booked a table for 7pm and were greeted promptly and very courteously by a very happy and smiling young lady. The ambience was very warm and friendly. The lighting in particular was set perfectly and made for a very conducive dining Date Night . We also caught the tale end of the early diners with young children and, their presence enhanced the feeling of Christmas approaching as we also looked out onto the immaculate High Street Christmas decorations. The menu has something for everyone; young and old, not overly simple and not overly sophisticated. My partner had the Sea Bass and I had the Fried Chicken. From order to service, on what was a busy Friday evening, took very little time and the food was both hot and well presented. My chicken was a little bit dry and the Brocoli a bit under done but, nevertheless, very tasty. My partner said her Sea Bass was perfect. The standard of food and particularly the service was very good, and like my comments regarding the Reading restaurant, all the staff were Happy! We have found one of our firm favourites in Bill 's and, will look out for one wherever we may travel. We 'll done Bill!"

"husband and I had our first visit on Thursday night. we had to share the freche garlic bread (gorgeously melting,) followed by the huge ribeye-, and this was worth every single penny of just shy fifty pounds. we were warned that it would prepare up from 40 minutes and cook what it did and oh young, it was worth waiting. this huge plate of medium-boiled steak on the bone was delicate, perfectly boiled, smokey on the outside and juicy on the inside, and made the man and I almost speechless in his deliciousness. the accompanying broken swirl rings and rugged chips had to die for as well as the mushroom and pfeffer grain sauces. we were too cloged for dessert, it had not happened what was a shame when they looked amazing. the maitre d really knew his things and was ingenious and welcoming as the waiting staff. we slowly chased into the car with our uncomfortable baby bells and both explained it to the best we had in months. top notch."

"I’ve popped into this pub a few times and finally made time for a Sunday roast with my friends, and I’m so glad we did! The nut roast went down a treat, the chicken was very tender, the potatoes crispy (and the cauliflower cheese exceptional). Needless to say we’ll be back maybe for Burger Thursday. Staff were friendly and incredibly welcoming. And made sure the nut roast was gf for my partner. Thank you!"
