"my wife and I had booked an early dinner after I had been sitting on the promenade to work on our appetites. we ate in a small room with capacity for only 10 diners on 5 tables. we jumped on appetizers and my wife went for the special prawns alla busara. we had previously reported the restaurant when booking that my wife was allergic to paprika. we have told our server again, who checked with the kitchen to ask if the dish should be prepared without a pfeffer. that was confirmed. when their meal was delivered, there were evidence for the outgoing vegetables. the apologetic server took the court back to the kitchen and the cook told her that he had added pfeffer to the court. (When I checked, I thought it tasted more like a red chili.) another dish came remarkably fast. Even without paprika, we both felt that the dish was unnecessary spicy and was distracted by the abundant seafood it contained. I was very happy with my lame. although it was rather small, it was delicate and tasteful. we received free desserts to try for the main course fiasco. my wife had a cream brûlée with sorbet. I had served a chocolate mousse with a caramelized banana and passion fruit. I also had a Sorbet flag. it was a living yellow, although I couldn't recognize its taste. this restaurant is a popular and well-respected eating. we felt quite underwhelmed because of our experience."

Lovely bistro in the centre of Grange. The menu had a range of meat, fish and vegetarian options. The choices we ordered were beautifully presented and very flavourful. The wine list had a decent range by the glass and they also serve cocktails. I would...definitely recommend a visit.

we visited the estuary simply because it was walking distance from our hotel and, for one night only,m the hotel restaurant was closed. We had a great meal for a reasonable price. There was a good choice on the menu and all appeared to be...freshly prerared. Service was friendly and efficient. Would certainly eat there again.

This is a very welcoming little bistro with very pleasant staff and good value food and drink. The moules mariniere were perfect and served with a delicious sour dough bread and a spoon to scoop up the sauce. The beef burger could have been served...with rather more salad than just a slice of tomato and a lettuce leaf but the burger was tasty and the fries were crisp. The duck, scallops and steak all looked delicious and I will return to sample those at a later date. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Absolutely fabulous food and staff. Amazing customer service and outstanding quality food.Visited Friday evening the place was buzzing and the staff welcoming. My daughter had phoned a head to pay for a bottle of wine. The food was really exceptional scallop and black pudding 5...star. The mussels were possibly the best I have ever had no unopened no broken just perfect. My partner’s pig cheek was first class as was his lamb . We were staying at the nearby Bay Villa which was also amazing. Gorgeous bed and breakfast with a stunning restaurant next door 100% perfect.

last night our trip so that we wanted a nice meal and the estuary bistro was a perfect choice. really beautiful interieur. modern, comfortable, felt intimate and special, but still relaxed. many gluten-free options. about half of the menu was available...improved for free. we shared a bruschetta to begin. three gluten-free sowed brot with pesto, feta, tomato and salat, with a beet root relish. delicious. both my partner and I actually wondered if the brot was really gluten-free: very impressive. warm tomats really made it for me. I had the ribeye steak and my partner chose the lamb. Both were beautifully cooked. I know steak is not very adventurous, but cooked as it tasted super. large fat h...

Visited as a treat on a weekend away with my daughter. Our starters were well portioned and tasted delicious. The same could be said about the desert. Service was quick and the waitresses were lovely. However, the vegetarian main was disappointing to say the least....Due to a small selection of vegetarian options, my daughter opted for the butternut squash with goats curd, potato terrine and broccoli with pesto. When it arrived, the plate in front of us was completely different to what was stated on the menu. Considering butternut squash was the first thing stated in this dish, it was frustrating to find that there was none on the plate. Furthermore, the potato terrine never arrived, instead...

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
