"The staff at the pub were wonderful and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the food did not meet our expectations, especially the Eton mess dessert which was disappointing and overpriced. The apple crumble lacked dough and the apples were not cooked properly, resembling more of a sauce than a crumble. It's always difficult to leave a negative review, especially when the staff is so friendly, but the quality of the food was subpar."

Came back for the steak and ale pie and wasn't disappointed. Friendly warm welcome and busy atmosphere. We had a tiny table tucked in the corner so felt a bit hemmed in.
