"Went for an evening out and was highly impressed. Waitresses knowledgeable and friendly. Food excellent and way above 'pub grub '. A busy restaurant is always a good sign and yet service was fast and efficient. Well done The Mermaid. Recommended Food drinks: Good interesting menu. Young chef visibly working hard but checking all plates before service. And all for less than £100 for three including several drinks each. If you want to impress .. try The Mermaid"

I recently attended a wake for a local at this pub and found it to be quite busy. The prices were very reasonable and I was particularly impressed with the wash basin in the ladies' restroom. I would rate the service and location both a 5 out of 5.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant with incredible food and a wide selection, including daily specials. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others. The service and location both receive a 5-star rating.

Stopped by the pub before the Peterborough Cambridge EFL trophy tie. Really is exactly what I needed it to be for me; bunch of locals, on the ****, pregaming, and being rowdy. Hot dog and chips were delicious. Not a romantic spot but a genuine hometown hometeam pub. Excellent service! Service: 5 Location: 4

Lovely little pub/restaurant. We have been a regular at the sister pub in Perry for years. The Mermaid has a great menu full of classics and the quality of ingredients is noticeable! Lots of fresh fish and meat. An intimate restaurant with friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. We will definitely return! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Food is usually very good, previously I have had the salmon and ordered again this time but the salmon came with a crusty top which was so salty that I couldn’t eat it all, also too much samphire, the other meals ordered in our group were good, it’s good having the local open again Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly

I had a delightful Sunday roast at this charming traditional pub, located just a short drive from the A14. The rump beef was delicious, juicy, and flavorful. The waitresses provided excellent service. The outside of the pub was adorned with vibrant and well-kept hanging baskets. Overall, I would give the service a rating of 4 and the location a rating of 4 as well.

"Re opened, refurbished and back with a bang! A classic thatched country pub which has been lovingly and sympathetically restored to more than its former glory, with new owners and new management. It now features a wonderful and sizeable pub garden with stunning views over the Cambridgeshire countryside with the quaint addition of Highland Cows who seem to enjoy watching the customers! Having been for drinks and food now on a couple of occasions, the menu is sophisticated, tasty with plenty of variety. If you're enjoying a drink in the garden, for nibbles, I highly recommend the cheese fritters they compliment a cool glass of Prosecco perfectly. There is an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails on offer. Inside the pub, it's all olde world charm but with a modern twist and as much I love the warm weather, I almost can't wait to see a roaring fire in the two fireplaces! The staff are friendly and welcoming it's the sort of pub I'd be happy to go into on my own for a light lunch or just a drink. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch which I've heard good things about already from those who have been! Considering it's a whole new team of people, the service understandably was a little bit slow as they were learning the ropes. However, on my last visit, I was impressed by how much slicker it was they're obviously fast learners. Can't wait to go back and support this quality pub/restaurant."
