"Really disappointed with this local business. It used to be a go to place for me but I’ll not be back or recommending it in future. Service is really slow for food and it’s hoaching too. We were told they needed to hold off on our food orders due to the kitchen being busy which was absolutely no issue with us but the gap between ordering and food service then between courses wasn’t considered when it came to needing the table back. So because of this we were just starting our second course and being told they needed the table back. Full disclosure on our part one of our party were running late when we were told they couldn’t take our food orders yet but they were present when another waitress came back to order food and drinks so one person being late can’t account for the experience of feeling chased off our table. At the time of booking no one advised us that the table was required back for a set time and we still had bottles of wine on the table half full, starting the first few bites of our second course. As we were getting ourselves together our original waitress said the table wasn’t required and we could stay but it was too late as our taxi was waiting- a taxi we had to call during our second course because we were being chased. I’d reconsider if you have a table booked here unless you’re fine with a big gap between service, can eat VERY fast and be prepared to be eating and ringing yourself a taxi so the next lot on the conveyor- sorry table can get in."

Every time I come into 1912 Rona and Aiden are always amazing and very friendly. Couldn’t fault them. Always go above and beyond for us. They make us come back to 1912. Love Tash Gems

Best turkey dinner I’ve ever had. Home made turkey roulade and trimmings were outstanding. The fact that the restaurant is owned by David Stein Butchers is very clear. Chipolatas were incredible.

Came along here with the family for some breakfast and loved it! The venue is modern, clean, and spacious. The service is personable. Most importantly, the food is delicious. Will definitely be back.

Tbh it wasn’t great. Seated upstairs, the heat was unbearable. Ordered 5 meals only 4 came, after the others had eaten the final meal arrived. We were told it would be removed from the bill, it wasn’t. Service was slow, main meal was average, a bit like something I could make at home really. Dessert? Home made meringue, it was big yes. It looked amazing but was sadly overcooked and tasted burnt. Overall a disappointing visit.

Visited with my son on 16/07 late morning. We hadn’t booked and thankfully there was a table available. We got seated very quickly, which was great. Then for reasons I don’t understand we sat for maybe 15 minutes without anyone asking if we wanted a drink or take our order, and it wasn’t even that busy. People who arrived after us were served before us. The food was alright, but nothing to write home about. My son had French toast with bacon and didn’t rave about it. I love the decor in here and the coffee is decent but it’s gone downhill since my last visit.
