"(If you want to a quick summed up review just skip to #3)The first time I went to Alom Dee in 2014 i was pretty impressed. The quality of service and food were pretty good compared to the appearance of the place. Naturally we thought we discovered a little gem. Not the case now a days! #1. The receptionist/waitress (who doesn't take your order mind you, you write it yourself) is one of the snottiness people I've met. Why this woman is still employed there is beyond me. I'm a pretty laid back guy, takes a fair amount to get under my skin but this young lady did it in about 15 min. Congrats, new record. If the owner had some intelligence he/she would read these reviews and send ole girl packing.#2. The food... what a waste of time and money. It took a solid 20 min to get our order in and even get drinks. The place wasn't busy. When snotty waitress picks it up she lets us know that there is no sushi tonight. Wouldn't be a big deal if you would put up a sign or maybe let some folks know when you seat them. So we adjusted our order and finally got it placed, 30 min in. When we received our food, ONE HOUR AND 15 MIN LATER the orders were incorrect and it was hot garbage. I kid you not, you can get the same quality at a Chinese fast food joint, heck it would probably be better. We choked it down and did our best to get out of there. We went so far as to separate our orders between 2 couples so this rocket scientist of a receptionist wouldn't screw it up, but she did. That was another 10 min to get "fixed". When she returned our receipts were partially done on the computer and partially inked in with pen. Super sketchy. My bill was 70€... 70€ for what looked and tasted like microwave food. I wanted out of there so bad that I just paid it and left. #3. Finally, just some words of recommendation. Don't go here. If you have self respect take a 5 min drive to Mr. Lian's. Great food and even better service. This place is hot and cramped, the food is sub par, prices are obnoxious and service is non-existent. To the owner, fire your receptionist. Seriously, read the reviews, she's losing you patrons. I gave it 24 hours to try and cool off about this visit, didn't work. Don't go here, I'd recommend going hungry before I'd recommend giving your money to this dumpster of an establishment."

This restaurant is small, which meant the food could be good. It was GREAT! The roast dusk was amazing!

The food is fresh and delicious and the Thai tea is amazing! The raw shrimp and oysters are some of my favorites.

If you want quality, fresh, and delicious Thai ... go no further! I frequent this restaurant and have never had a bad meal! Avoid busy times or your food will be very slow. View menu

We love coming here! The food is absolutely delicious! Eat in or take out but the pad Thai is amazing and so is the duck curry! Definitely one of our favorite spots for Asian food!

Highly recommend the vegetable spring rolls and Thai coconut soup with prawns. Of the Thai restaurants in the area, best spring rolls and soup we've had. Young male waiter was very polite and attentive. Waited for about 5 minutes for someone to greet our table...well worth the wait. Will definitely go back.

When i first visited alom dee 2 years ago, the food was pretty good. Now, the food is of average quality with smaller portions. The wait is long, the service is poor, and the prices are way too expensive for the quality you receive. I would not visit this place again. Zimblute in Einsederlhof is a MUCH better place! Hier kriegt man original thailändisches Essen. Nicht wie beim Buffet, das man uns Europäern angepasst hat. Ich empfehle es allen die gutes Thailändisches Essen mögen.

I'll be honest, we were skeptical going to a Thai restaurant in Germany; but we were pleasantly surprised with the freshness and quality of the food. The staff are courteous and accommodating. As it turns out, our Thai friends eat here... We recommend visiting during a week day, as the weekends and evenings draw the crowds. When you've had a chance to make your selection from their vast menu, simply write down the corresponding numbers on the little notepads provided, and they'll get started on your wonderful meal. Enjoy!

"We moved to Germany from Korea 2 months ago, and decided to try this restaurant because we had been wondering if it was good. My family (husband, 2 children, and I) came in on a weeknight for dinner about 1830-1900. We were greeted promptly at the door, and seated right away. My kids were excited to see the decor inside, which was decorated similar to the Korean temples we had visited not too long ago. They also noticed the celadon pottery, and the dolls displayed wearing hanbok. Go figure! We looked at the menu, and decided to try the Yaki Mandu, kimchi, japchae, beef bulgogi, and the kids wanted to share bibimbap. Also, our son asked if he could get the kimchi soup, as it was one of his favorites at his Korean preschool. We did notice the prices were definitely NOT Korea standard (30,000₩ for the 4 of us to eat well), but that's okay. The Yaki came out hot, and was delicious! There were 5 pieces in an order. Our kimchi came, and was perfect: not too fishy, and just the right amount of spice, which we had been missing. My son received his kimchi soup, and while it was a bit more spicy than he had had at school, he enjoyed it, and my husband and I ate what he didn't, as it got spicier nearer the bottom of the bowl. Our bulgogi, japchae, and bibimbap came out together, along with 2 servings of rice (in the correct rice containers!). The bibimbap and bulgogi were sizzling! We had neglected to request no red pepper paste for the bibimbap, since the kids were sharing it, but I scraped most out, and it wasn't terribly spicy to begin with. The bulgogi came with winter and summer kimchi (cabbage and cucumber, respectively), daikon radish kimchi, and the kraut salat that Germans prefer. The bulgogi was great! Flavorful, seasoned just right, and no 'mystery' pieces of wiggly beef. The japchae was DELICIOUS! It had the same bulgogi beef, broccoli, and onion in it. The bibimbap was perfect as well! It really was more bang for our buck, as it was enough for the kids to share. Oh, man, I almost cried, as everything was so good! We will definitely be back. While not an inexpensive meal, we were ALL super-happy, so it was worth it!*we will all have to continue practicing our metal chopstick skills. Turns out, they leave you if you don't practice regularly *"
