"My husband and I visited Amici’s for a Saturday lunch. We have been before and have always enjoyed. Our order was taken and I did notice the server hadn’t written it down. Not always a great sign… The food arrived promptly and my penne salmon was lovely. It was only when my husband was eating the first 1/4 of his burger he realised there was no cheese in the hickory burger which he had ordered with chips. There was a small amount of lettuce and a small scrape of sauce. The server came back to ask if everything was ok, I explained the situation. He took the burger away immediately and assured he would rectify the order- that was fine. He came back shortly to say that the Amici burger didn’t actually come with cheese but they were sorting it in the kitchen anyway! Awkward when my husband told him it was actually the hickory burger that had been ordered which (you guessed it) he hadn’t written down!!! He did apologise and admit it was his fault. Meanwhile, I continued to pick at my food solo while it went cold. Eventually another server offered to take my food to keep it warm. Thanks to them. Shortly after the ‘new’ burger returned with the correct filling in a fresh bap. At last we could resume what we thought was going to be a nice lunch… We laughed in disbelief when my husband cut in to the burger to realise there was 1/4 missing!! Very poor to think that they couldn’t even be bothered to remake the correct order and instead scraped off and reserved the old burger!!! Burger and chips tasted fine but I’m really annoyed. Eating out is just too expensive now for things not to be right! And yes- we were charged full price!!"

Lorna and I had a wonderful night at Amici. It so pleasant to have a special evening and Joanne made our night. Not only was she so diligent but nothing was too much for her to do. The atmosphere was fantastic in the early evening as well.

Great spot if you don't care how much you pay for non exceptional food!!! Portions and quality not like it used to be prices also unreasonably/unjustifiable hiked up not really worth it . Getting a bit like the eateries at Portrush Harbour.

Good food and location, waiting staff obviously pressured to turn tables round again as whole meal felt rushed, are you ready etc etc, our daughter ordered a dessert and had barely finished the last mouthful before the bill was thrust in our hand! Go, eat, pay, get out! View menu

Lovely Iralian restaurant in a beautiful location in Portstewart. Great menu with lots of gluten free choices. Staff and service were excellent. Only gripe would be that sides need to be ordered with many mains, would expect rice or chips with some dishes as standard. Food was beautiful.

Food fantastic, service excellent (attentive, without being overbearing), and reasonably priced. I had the Pil Pil Prawns and the Crab Ravioli special. Better half had the Arancini, and the Chicken Kebab, and daughter had Wings and the Carne Pizza. All of it was stunning. We will be back.

The food, wine, and service at this restaurant were excellent. It is a delightful place to dine with lovely staff and delicious food. To be completely honest, we could not find any faults with our experience. This restaurant is extremely popular, so we highly recommend making a reservation. View menu

We have been frequenting this restaurant for 5-6 years now and have always had a pleasant experience. Our most recent visit was good overall, although the food could have been warmer. The only downside was one of the meals - the two 4oz sirloin steaks. This dish is usually a favorite of ours, but this time it was not up to par. The steaks were thicker than usual and did not look like the ones we had received on previous visits.

We made a reservation in advance, but upon arrival, we were disappointed to be seated at a table that could only be described as being tucked away in a corner. Despite the majority of tables offering a sea view, we were led to a less desirable table. When we requested to be moved, we were given a better table, although the waiter seemed unhappy about it. The starter was satisfactory, but we had to specifically ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the bread on our Italian sharing platter. Our main course was even more disappointing as it was forgotten initially, and when it arrived, my husband's steak was served without any vegetables or garnishes, just a plain piece of meat on a plate....

"Visited lost Found in Portstewart last Friday afternoon for some lunch. Checked the outdoor menu which stated food served until 3.30pm. Went ahead on inside. Started to briefly read the menu at the till as aware from previous visits that you order on arrival yourself at the counter. Was told by the female counter staff that we had 8 minutes to place our order and to take the menus to the table. We did this. Then when we said excuse me to the same member of staff, from our table, that we’d like to order, we were told we had to come back to the till. This made no sense whatsoever. From the moment we stepped in and were told that we had 8 minutes to order should have been the red flag I guess. Friday afternoon, not long till closing, they just didn’t want to be bothered prepping two rounds of food, The two members of staff in the premises had the worst attitude and no ounce of personality to be in the role that they are in. Every thing seemed to be a complete bother. May I also add, the food was very skimp, re portion sizes plus they seem to care more about the presentation than the food itself re the logo branded paper underneath the food. Try attempting to cut sourdough bread on this, not easy unless you want a mouthful of paper. Then when it comes to hot drinks, no sugar or milk provided. Yet again had to approach the till and ask for these to be provided with milk in a paper cup yet another couple had a glass jug of milk on their table (less dishes to wash I guess) and no white sugar at all, had to make do with brown sugar for tea. When asked for refills of hot water we were given a half full glass of this and then when asked for it to be filled up, yet again a whole botheration. Oh and don’t even get me started on the toilet facilities. Dingy to say the least. The premises in portstewart should never have reopened when it did as Lost and Found, previous owner/cafe was far more superior in all ways. Will not be back"
