The set-price menu was a great idea, and the options were well thought out, complementing each other nicely. Overall, the food was good, and the service was efficient and polite. However, the lack of creativity in the ground floor space didn’t contribute to a sense of occasion, which would have made the price we paid feel more justified. Despite enjoying the food, we won’t be returning.

Flawless. Lovely friendly staff especially great (friendly and patient) with our young children. FOOD my my my was it excellent! I had rib eye surf and turf and would recommend it to all. Had a really lovely meal here last night for my partners birthday, so glad we picked this place. A really pretty cosy restaurant with good vibes. The food was literally outstanding! The bread rolls with the butter were delicious, great starters and I had the best steak I believe I have ever had in my life, it was cooked to perfection. Loved the drinks and the two ladies who served us were so polite and lovely would definitely come back here again the next time we visit Cornwall. : View menu

Came here in August for our first wedding anniversary and the staff it was amazing. The staff were incredibly welcoming, they even put a card on our table to congratulate us and were incredibly helpful with my wife’s dairy intolerance. The food was out of this world! 48 hour slow roasted belly pork which at first didn’t look it was going to be enough, turned out to be plenty! But the real treat we’re the sweet potato and pork cheek croquettes, whoever created those little morsels deserves a pat on the back! We will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem on Queen street.

Really great family meal. Service was excellent, friendly and informative. Food was delicious, I had the calamari broth, full of flavour. Main was The hake, again beautifully cooked and super tasty. My husband had the rib eye steak which tasted incredible and my daughter had the calamari to start followed by shell on prawns (an adjustment they made for her) as she doesn’t like batter or breadcrumbs, which she thoroughly enjoyed finished off with their home made vanilla ice cream for pudding, this was exceptionalso good in fact that we ordered a bowl for us. Really a great restaurant, we all left feeling happy, full and incredibly lucky to have felt such a gem of a place to eat. Can’t recomme...

Thieves !! Deplorable experience. I order pork belly. The song arrives. I taste a small slice. It seems very oily to me in the mouth. I mean brisket is a fatty piece but also not composed entirely of fat, I know it well from eating and cooking it regularly. I open the piece to remove a little fat and I realize that there is actually only fat! I pointed this out to the waiter who, after an exchange with the cook, accused us of lying and of having eaten all the meat! He refuses to exchange the piece with us.
