"Yesterday, the Tigress and I had lunch at l'Accroche, in Auxerre. It is an inexpensive restaurant and, therefore, we expected honest, simple, food. However, it is far more than that. It is run by a husband and wife team and they both cook. The Tigress started with an avocado salad, which was delicious and very fresh. I had a rabbit and apricot (yes, it works) terrine, which was delightful. I went on to have a duck leg, which had been confit'd in cider and caramelised in honey. I was very pleasantly surprised. The Tigress had a moussaka, which was much appreciated. For dessert, I had one of the best lemon tarts that I have eaten in a long time. I'm inclined to be very judgemental about lemon tart, which is more often than not far too sweet; this was perfect. The Tigress had a cheese selection that was so copious that she could not eat even a 1/4 of it. The Chef, his wife and the serving staff were an absolute delight. We only paid 18 euros each, not including a rather decent local Burgundy."

I'm here right now and I have to admit that it's excellent! In photo, goat cheesecake. A marvel!

very friendly welcome. typical setting in the old austere. simple, varied and tasteful home cuisine.

simple dishes, but a much too long service that doesn't seem to me to be attributed to the new waitress but to a very bad organisation

good reception, generous home kitchen. nice decoration, especially plates that remind us of the services of our great mothers. a tip think to book because the restaurant is fast full. We had a very good time!

nestled in a small alley of the old age the reception is friendly casual and smiling and the inventive and tasteful cuisine and the note as soft as the music air that accompanies it. a good address for Leserre

The staff is friendly, the terrace too. However, the kitchen is a little simplistic. the dishes are a little too heavy or too light. there is a small suggestion of presentation to make the dishes attractive. pity because the ideas of dishes are good, varied and a priori different each day and the use of small herbs and spices is very pleasant in some dishes.

We ate at L'Accroche after reading about it on Trip Advisor. We enjoyed our food - I had a very good tomato and roquefort tart with a big mixed salad and my husband liked his Andouiette with boiled potatoes. For dessert we tried the lemon tart which was good, though the pastry was a bit thick. The cheese went down well also. The restaurant was full and we felt a little neglected, but once ordered the food came quickly. My coffee was undrinkable as the milk was sour, but the owner agreed the milk was off and refunded it. The bill was very cheap at 30 euros including a 50cl carafe of wine. Very good value for money and once food but maybe they need another waiter?

correct reception; a single menu for 2 full of spots certainly of previous services. local red wine brought too hot with dirty glasses. take orders after 30 minutes after bringing some dishes that were not intended for us. House kitchen of good quality but without originality. much too long service ( 1 hour waiting for dessert). boss and dirty cook (hands with black traces around the nails, tabs stained)., certainly because of a waitress hired on the same day and an organization that does not allow to provide a normal service (team of 4 people for more than 40 covers). 4th server that puts the thumb in the dessert without apology and wipes his fingers with his towel. boss with doubtful humor...

"An unforgettable gastronomic experience! We recently had the chance to dine in this beautiful restaurant, and I have to say that it was an absolutely amazing culinary experience. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the charming and attentive conductor (Olivier), which created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The tasting menu was varied and offered an attractive selection of gourmet dishes. Each dish was a work of culinary art, as beautiful as it was delicious. Fresh and seasonal ingredients were showcased with creativity and mastered by the talented chef (Pierre) of the establishment. The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The waiter was attentive, passionate about his job, and made sure that we had a pleasant moment without being intrusive. The restaurant setting was simply charming. The name Le Jardin Gourmand is well chosen because the restaurant has a beautiful garden that adds a touch of romanticism to the culinary experience. We also enjoyed the elegant and refined decoration inside the restaurant. With regard to wines, Olivier has selected wines perfectly adapted to the dishes served. In summary, our experience was unforgettable. The combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service and a charming setting makes it an essential place for gastronomy lovers in Auxerre. If you are looking for a memorable culinary experience, look no further! Thank you to Pierre and Olivier."
