Good meal, busy (therefore a bit noisy) at lunch time with local customers - a good sign. Good value for money. Bon repas. Plein au déjeuner donc un peu bruyant. Bon rapport qualité-prix.

The Fish soup!....A Must Have....The chefs special (you pay extra for this) and if you are English and are not familiar with French specialities, do not google the contents, just eat it , you'll love it!Friendly efficient staff, one waiter serving about 30 covers, expertly!

nothing unseen...All was perfect. our starter of marinated salmon was delictable, my salad (thai type. was simply divine, and the rice with caramel milk as well as the strawberries absolutely delicious. service, not too slow or too fast. in court: fantastic such great...for value restaurant. Bravo!

The €18 set menu for dinner was excellent value. The food was delicious and choices good. The people were very friendly and it has a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant was completely full and they coped well. Situated almost opposite the Ibis hotel and well worth...eating there if staying in that hotel.

the restaurant is fucked away in a quiet side street. do not let them get rid of it. eating is amazing. not much English speaking, but the menu choices are presented on a tablet that has several languages. very busy for a week night and. we were the only British people there, all the others were French. I had duck with goji berries and amazing sauce. great.

Recommended by family, Did not disappoint! Massive 500g steak nice and tender. The restaurant was busy and couple more member of staff would have eased the service, however everybody were working hard and left a well deserved tip. If you eat outside mind the pedestrian...step across the dehor especially after couple of glasses of wine. (Customer from nearby table almost ended up on my lap ! Will surely be back! Young hip restaurant where the food really matters. The menu is good value. The name of the restaurant means "unexpected" and it really is just that, unexpectedly wonderful. We had the soup de poisson to start and it was heavenly. The salad with Homard/lobster was worth the supplement, main for hubby's ris de veau was great. My main was fish sole and it was excellent. Desserts were included and sweet and light. Yummy. Go, you will be happy you did!

We arrived at 6:45pm but learned opening was not until 7:30 so had to come back and we were very glad we did. Our young waitress was determined to explore the limits of our French but that aside we enjoyed a very memorable meal. We chose the 25 euro menu which consisted of four courses and preparatory nibbles. The food was both beautifully prepared and presented (the calves liver was exquisite) and with drinks our bill for two was a modest 71 euro and, best of all, barely 100 yards from the Ibis Agen centre.

Restaurant L’imprevu, Agen. Again TA rating didn’t fail us. This restaurant gave a rustic feeling at a first glance, at a corner of a nondescript street not far from the railway station. But, at a second look it was a really fine restaurant both inside...and outside. We were lucky to have a warm evening and could sit outside throughout without needing a jacket. We arrived soon after their opening time (19:30) and there were already 2-3 tables inside. Within half an hour the outside part was full. I love their colorful table cloth with colorful glasses and napkins of the outdoor seating, although the terrace chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The indoor was porch and welcoming.
