"Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and Menu There is a simple menu that includes all the Italian and American classics that people love to eat. The choices are limited however it does cater for a range of diners from the Meat lover to the Vegetarian. In the Starters there is a Garlic Pizza Bread that is tasty with a great Garlic aroma. There is also American Style Nachos with Jalapeños and all the sauces to dip into. In addition, there is Calamari, Ribs and the Chicken Crunch too. In the Mains there is a great selection of Pizzas with good flavours. There are also additional toppings that you can add on for an extra charge. There is also a decent variety of Steak, Pasta, and Salad dishes for those that fancy them too. For the Burger fan there are some Beef Burgers and a Chicken Fillet one too. There is also a wide variety of sides that are a great addition to your meal from Chips, Sweet Potato Fries to Onion Rings and Garlic Bread too. For those with a sweet tooth then there is a selection of popular Desserts including the Warm Chocolate Brownie, Cheesecake and, Tiramisu that is creamy and indulgent to eat. If you like cold Desserts then there is Ice Cream and the Knicker Bocker Glory. For the Starters the Garlic Pizza Bread was tasty and moorish. It was soft in the middle with a bite on the edges. It was yummy. The Calamari was pleasant to eat but could have been cooked more as it was slightly rubbery to eat. For the Mains the Chicken Fillet Burger was perfectly cooked and it was beautifully presented. It was tasty and heart-warming to eat. The Salad and the Mayonnaise added more flavour. The Sweet Potato Fries were comforting to eat. They were crispy on the outside with soft fluffy Potato on the inside. I love how they are presented in a small pan dish. Cute. The Onion Rings were scrumptious. Their crispy batter was great on the outside with soft Onion pieces inside. It was a heart pleaser. For Dessert the Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream was heavenly to eat. The Brownie was cooked superbly. It was not hard to eat but it was runny with gooey and indulgent Chocolate. Yum. The Ice Cream was great too as it cut through the richness of the Chocolate adding texture. It was also stunning in presentation in which the Chocolate Brownie is in the middle of the plate with a lovely scoop of Ice Cream on top. Drinks They have a good selection of soft drinks which include all the popular ones to have. There is also a small variety of juices on offer too. However they do not serve non-alcoholic Mocktails. Service The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and accommodating. She gave us the time to choose our dishes. Her suggestions for food were spot on. It was good that the food came out pretty quickly and it was beautifully presented. Lighting and Access The lighting at this restaurant was pretty bright which allows for an enjoyable meal for most people including those with visual impairments. Entry to this restaurant is at the Holiday Inn Hotel to which there is a small step to enter into the building. Once inside there are stairs and lifts to get to the Mezzazine floor. This is where you will find the restaurant. There are no stairs inside as it is on one level. Furniture The furniture here is brilliant. I love the big tables which are spacious. The chairs are big and are comfortable to sit on. This gives a relaxed ambiance so that you can dine in style. Parking Parking is available at the Quayside Media City UK multi-storey car park (formerly The Lowry). If you are a Blue Badge holder then you will get 4 free hours when stamping your ticket. This takes effect from the time of arrival. Alternatively you can park at the Media City multi-storey which is closer to the venue. Pricing The pricing of the dishes at this restaurant are mid- range. However it is worth visiting once a while especially if the waiters are good, the food is tasty and that it is beautifully presented. If you love to eat Italian and American food within a relaxed atmosphere then head down to your local Marco’s."

Lovely afternoon tea with lovely staff. It was dead, though. We were the only people in there.

Extremely poor. Absolutely nothing special. Surprised Marco Pierre White has put his name to this place. Friday night and maybe 3 tables in says all you need to know.

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing meal! 2 pasta dishes arrived like warm without seasoning so we sent them back. We received the same meal that was warm at best but tasteless . We were looking forward to a good meal but were very disappointed. Never again!! View menu

Every meal we had got sent back. Chewy Calamari over cooked rock hard chicken and prawns on sharing mix grill, under cooked raw onion rings and 2 off congealed stale unbaked cheese and we still had to pay £100!! Fuming! Just to add insult to injury just been sick in the toilets!

Absolutely disappointed with the main meal. The meatball starter was ok. We both ordered medium ribeye steak costing £30 each, when it came it looked good, just a few tomatoes and frozen chips. The more I cut into my steak the more it was undercooked, it was terrible. When the waitress collected our plates she didn’t even bother asking if our meal was nice or not I think she could see. We then ordered a cheese board which was fabulous.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for work and arrived quite late so chose to dine here. I wish I'd have eaten from the snack menu in the bar. The staff are very nice, attentive and welcoming however food was awful. I ordered a spaghetti carbonara and a side of garlic bread, I waited a while and got apologies off every staff member that walked past and offered a free drink which I declined. I can only assume my food had sat on the hot plate for an hour when the waiter served it holding a towel. My carbonara was scrambled : when I mentioned something to the manager she patronisingly said it was cooked with egg I knew this, but never made or been served it with the egg scrambled. Ate the garlic brea... View menu

My partner and I brought my grandmother for a pre theatre dinner, thinking it would be an upmarket alternative to Bella Italia. But actually, it was “ok.” Nothing more. And I don’t think it’s worthy of the Marco’s name it makes it sound like something it really isn’t. Firstly, it’s inside the Holiday Inn hotel and difficult to find in there because you have to go in through the hotel entrance and the restaurant is not advertised or signposted when you get inside. Food wise Nachos and chicken tenders for starters were quite large portions, but basically just “pub grub.” My grandmother had steak for her main and asked for it medium. It was definitely medium well, but she was happy with it and...

mpw is a hero of me, white heat is my bibel. I have given 50 pfund vouchers for one of his restaurants and I have used them here because of the removal. the first time in an MPW place in Britain and I kept it on the same standard as I learned from him what to look for when it comes to eating. after the online booking I realized that I had made a mistake, I had the change on the day after and got a response within 15 minutes shortly after 10 o'clock on Tuesday morning. there was absolutely no hurry on the answer, but was a good sign. I have seen a negative review of the communication here before, so wanted to call out that this was over and about what I would expect. the day we arrived very e...

"Hearing about a traditional fish and chip shop in Prestwich, complete with a restaurant and bar, and cooking in beef-dripping with the option for vegetable oil (call to confirm vegetable oil availability), I was compelled to check it out. Upon entering the shop, I found myself in the bar area, with access to the restaurant located upstairs. The bar was furnished with tables, chairs, and stools for those wishing to enjoy a drink or avoid the stairs. It is encouraging to see young people engaged in the fish and chip shop trade, potentially leading to more traditional establishments in the future. The cod, although slightly smaller than expected, was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chips were among the best I’ve had in a long time. The pea fritters, black pudding fritters, and tartare sauce were also excellent. In-house pies were available as well, so I sampled the cheese and onion and meat and potato varieties and can recommend both. There is parking available across the street and on-street. However, the opening hours might not suit those looking for a lunchtime meal, as at the time of this review, the hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and closed on Sunday and Monday.
