"Arrived on a cold and set Thursday morning to find it deserted but was welcomed by Ethan who served with a friendly attitude. We ordered a large glass of Sauv Blanc and two halves of ale: Abbot and Greene King IPA. This caused us amusement because Ethan didn't like the look of the IPA and decided he couldn't sell it to me...and then found someone had changed the ale without telling him and not swapped the pump clips! We had a good laugh and I got a free Deuchars IPA. Very good customer service. Oh, and I am told the wine was excellent too. Worth crossing the busy road for. Cosy with good music at sensible levels. Recommended."

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Good value food and drinks. Very close to the shops. No parking, but close to parking areas.

Disgraceful attitude when can’t even acknowledge a reservation, obviously don’t need the business, when you request a confirmation and they can’t be bothered then you just give them a big miss

Popped in for lunch on a day out in Stratford. Greeted warmly by Anne-Marie. Excellent food and service. The Ruddles and Steak pie was a delight with perfect pastry and tender beef. My partner had the Salmon Florentine where the salmon was lovely and moist with the poached egg on top cooked to perfection. A really lovely lunch and they served Guinness too!

a really nice pub, nizza outside sitting inside also really nice, we didn't have to eat, but looked beautiful and was busy, beautiful atmosphere and personal friendly. this pub is based in william shakespeare county so close to many interesting history, the channel is close and also found the market on the channel. so nice to stop in this pub, then go to stratford itself, worth a visit and will return

Pen Parchment Stratford-upon-Avon Left thirsty hungry 923210027 Totally ignored by staff, left the premises hungry and thirsty. Wasnt that busy but when the barman does everything from answer the phone to scratch his privates and not serve you when your should right at the bar, bleedy idiot, then when a 2nd bar lady arrived and still no wink or offer of a drink or even a HELLO, very poor so went nx door.

Attended for lunch on my mums birthday. Is a lovely vibrant setting, with a country pub feeling. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Will, his service was 10/10 and he went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Food was absolutely incredible, lovely pub classics but with obvious time and effort put into each dish, just delicious! Mum also got a candle in her strawberry cheesecake! Can’t wait to visit again next year!

Came here for an evening meal for one. Seated straight away on arrival, tentative staff throughout. Food was cooked perfectly. Nice crisp on the chicken batter and the chicken gravy was delicious. Mainly served by a chap called Will, good banter and a friendly smile. Also another youngish lad George who I think Will said was new but he seemed to be taking a busy Monday night in his stride! Then desert…strawberry shortcake cheesecake….DELICIOUS! Would defo recommend this pub to family and friends!
